The Headphone out serves as an optical out as well. Cool, isn't it? There is a optical-in port, but that's for using AK100 as a DAC.

Doh!!!! Of course it bloody is.......excuse my brain....it's been a long day lol.

Lee, probably not the best place to ask this, but I am perhaps getting a 1p2 soon and I was wondering why you kept the HSA Studio V #rd Anniversary after trying much more expensive DAPs?

Because the player is that good where it is very much worth keeping. For me it was a lot better than the RWA AK100 player. It's another reason why I never opted for the ibasso DX50. I actually sold the DX100 due to the 3rd ANV paired with the 1Plus2 on the original silver cable. The synergy was offset though with the gold cable on that pairing. I have to give the Rocoo BA a shot but I think it will also pair very well on the 1Plus2. Not only is the sound quality superb but you also have super long battery life (55 hours flac and 85 mp3). The build quality is very durable (metal housing) and luxurious. It has metal buttons, is portable and the UI while basic is easy to use still. Just use the resource menu and access music via folder view. It also has expandable memory so all in all it's a very good player. Synergy is key though. So far I'm preferring the Ba with most of my IEMs. I changed the file allocation to 2048 and upgraded the firmware to the Studio V BA firmware.

Wow!
I'll definitely give the Studio V a try when the 1plus2 gets to me on Tuesday (hopefully).
