Headphone socket broken on Fiio E10

Thread Starter

After about 3 months of use, the headphone socket has become completely detached and has fallen inside of the unit itself.  It was pretty loose to begin with, but I didn't think anything of it because I had heard that it was of low quality and figured that it was simply a symptom.

Anyways, would this be covered under the warranty?  Also, is there any way I would be able to fix this myself?  I see that the unit can be opened.

If it is not covered under the warranty and I cannot fix it myself, would I be able to use it as a DAC through line-out and pair it with something like the Schiit Magni?

yes, this can be covered under warranty , please contact the dealer or FiiO directly by support@fiio.net. and we can send you spare parts if you can fix it and have the solder skill.

the last question, yes, you can still use it as DAC only
