Sf this post is for you i know what you think of them already.

Not a very surprising story.

Note If you are repairing IEMS (or attempting too) conductive epoxy or paste solder is absolutely essential.

yes second that 100%

Conductive epoxy is a bit expensive, but still cheaper than buying new iems and you'll have enough for  the rest of your Hifi  mang purchases. Forever.

Incredibly easy to work with

TBH i haven't been this giddy since those JVC S500 blew my mind cuz of how great they sounded regardless of their low price, but these VSD1 LEs meng while i was listening to them i was like D'YAM, these make my JVC FX200 sound like childs play with their tuning. I am probably gonna regret writing this later on, but man these makes all the "bass" centric gears i have heard so far sound like toys. VSonic ain't playing around and these cheapo VSD1 LE is scaring the schiit outta' me already. :triportsad:

Though, I also agree that some of the off topic spam like Nomax's SPL hyping is uncalled for.

What off topic spam?

I, for one am grateful for Nomax's little snippets of information.

Take them for what they are - don't read into them what you want to read.

Be grateful for an insider who is able to give us little snippets of what's coming.

Also remember that any information as to performance is to be taken as his opinion, as are all others in these threads.

As always, YMMV. Don't blame Nomax if your opinion is different to his.

every nomax comments on the akg k812 thread.  he is so hyped on these headphones, he makes me laugh to tears by the intensity wich he promotes these headphones.

His opinion is as valid as any other on these forums.

Just because he has heard them before the release doesn't equate to hype.

^ Great work wink. :beerchug:

I love you too!!! But not as much as Nomax. : P

Just wanted to say that i dig the way you roll, be slow cruising with it.

... lets see if i can hang with ya'. :)

Yeah but your're drunk (say so right in your sig) so you have an excuse:D

That said we all get carried away on the "new train" at some point. Unless it's one of those rare phones that are actually complete dreck. Think we should start an "excuse list" and put it in the first post so newbies can enter the thread forewarned..

I paid a bundle they have to sound good!

Everyone reviewed them well.

These guys have been making phones for 50 years.

These guys are new to the biz they have the latest tech.

It sounds great with (toob, balanced, bridged, discrete, moon rock) amps.

Can't afford NOT to get em at that price!

No I'm not drunk haven't touched any alcohol in the past weeks, but I do catch that train now and then. That picture was taken here in Victoria, Melbourne in Australia I'm little surprised elwoopo used it as an example.

My profile custom title was a small incident with me posting some non-sense in some threads while drowned with booze, it is what happens when you're online and drinking. Say never more.

catlover this post is for you i know what you think of them already.

I had to send the RE0 back multiple times during the day, never got it fully repaired, still hanging around underneath a cabinet somewhere.

Of course I'm not as irrational as cardboard (don't think he's had a Chinaman yet?).

Pisssh you ain't even remotely worthy of that "drunken" custom title, cuz you know who is???

This crazy @ss mofo right here: http://www.head-fi.org/u/158321/kova4a

That right there is "The Drunken Master" of head-fi real talk. So Big Birdie if you are still watching over this thread, that man right there deserves that custom title cuz he literally was the drunken one man army that held the thread down. BRAVO BRAVO!!! Mad Props!!!

They really do need to work on some things, namely the cabling (the RE-400 jack is cumbersome, the HE-400 Canares strain relief is non-existent, all of the cable connectors make no sense and might be some of the most inane mechanisms I've yet to come across).

The price doesn't really make it okay, the sound, well I tend to enjoy them immensely but I'd still be on edge.

Dood people keep saying how those RE-400s for $100 smackers is such an amazing deal for their sound blah blah blah, but it's still $100 smackers which ain't a small amount. I guess in this crazy "audiophile" hobby it is a chump change but still $100 for a brandname audiophile product should buy you MUCH better built quality.

I don't give a hoot if they sound so amazing that it will make you schiit in your pants, if they can even compare to cheapo $10 or even $5 gears in built they ain't worth owning. Plus it's not like they are really THAT new in this industry. They are well aware of the problems yet continue to make products, even flagship models with the same lackluster construction/ components, etc. is inexcusable.

If that is not a classic case of planned obsolescence i don't know what it.

/rant.

Troll School out yo'. :p

The RE-400 isn't that bad, if you've lived with the RE0. It's just normal.

Again, not much to say on this, maybe one will even come your way one day...

LMAO i hope they don't fall apart on their way to me. haha :triportsad:

See how utterly LOW your standards has become, you can't enable/ support outright lackluster efforts like that.
