"The New" Fiio X3 with USB DAC - Page 2

Thinking about it, it could be pretty darn cool if the x3 had supported inline volume control and pause/change tracks like most phones do. Not that I am to complain at all.

maybe we should decrease the output level of the LO to 1.5V ( the LO level of iPod is 0.8V and the standard output level of most CD is 2.0V )

BTW, some of our customers are helping us test the firmware and the new firmware should  be released on 15th, Oct.

Thank you...

So... this means X3 is perfectly capable of sending excellent quality sound to the car stereo aux, just need a little tweak?

by the way, my stereo has 4v. from the amp pre-outs, which is connected to an amp then to the speakers. Would that be enough to drive the X3 perfectly without any tweak ?

The new firmware will be start as 2.XX. and we have just finished the testing for 2.02 and 2.03 will be the official version for public and it will be available soon.

Great :) "soon" meaning days, weeks?

Hi,

Thanks for the info.  Is this version 2.x likely to enable the X3 to operate as a USB DAC?   Here's hoping :-)

Regards,

Jeremy

i don't see why 1.8v into a pre amp should be a problem, as you point out its lower than a cd player.

If this is gonna be plug and play on windows/linux, i'm wondering if it would work with OTG cable on an android phone?

Besides that, can't wait for the new firmware! :D
