Can anyone recommend a good cable for my DT990's?

Old one is done for It's just so bad and nearly impossible to keep welded anymore. The driver sounds fine.

Good day.

I think what you linked me are xlr connectors. I use my DT990's with an ASUS xonar soundcard that needs a 6.5mm connection

I did not list any XLR stuff, I was listing popular brands of shielded cable that comes with 4 wires inside, right/ground/left/ground, which you can buy for around $1 per foot. So each of the 2 channels (right/left) gets it's own return ground wire.

Then you can buy a 1/4' (6.35mm) TRS stereo plug to solder to one end (grounding wires share the some connection on the plug), then solder the other end to the (4) wires in the DT990.

Here is a nice Canare (F-16) stereo 1/4" plug (but there are lots of plugs to choose from on the Internet).
