It's a really good deal for a great IEM. Im sure you won't be disappointed. Between the X11 and X7 I use both regularly just depends on which one I grab. Also the ceramic heads are really classy. They make this awesome ding when they bump together.  :beerchug:

I have a feeling these are about to become my go to iem for my new FiiO X3ii, have you been running yours with any amps? Although the X3ii will drive most of my iem's now I have recently strapped my Topping NX2 to it and it has solidified the already good sound coming from this DAP.

I use them with Fiio X3 E12amp combo and a Sandisk Clip Zip Rockboxed with Fiio E6 amp. They do work fine without amp though. Havent tried them yet with my new Schiit Magni/Modi 2 Uber Amp/Dac Stack. There going to sing with it I'm sure.

What's with the PVC pipe used as an interconnect?

Kidding aside, that interconnect looks like it can take a beating.

How do you like your XBA-H1 with that amp (I assume it's the Fiio E12a)?

I have the XBA-H1 but I mostly use them straight out of the A17 or my phone (Samsung Galaxy S5) so I'm kinda curious.

The only amp I have to compare is the Fiio E17.

That PVC interconnect is the "GE" (Gangster Edition) of my cable builds.  It sure can take a beating and is very flexible.  I hear more bass vs the L16 and L17 FIIO cables I was using, without loosing  the treble sweetness of the FIIO cables.

I got rid of the XBA-H1 shortly after I posted the pic.  It was a really nice sounding earphone and the E12A was able to push it over it's limits.  My cheapy Monster Jamz produced deeper bass vs the Sony's.  I didn't like the stock ear tips that came with H1. It was very light and sometimes forgot I had them on when I was using foam tips.  I tried messing with the EQ to get what I needed from the H1, but just couldn't get it.  I do miss the BA driver from the Sony, but the bass didn't do it for me.

I  preferred the sound through the E12A over my Iphone  with the Sony's connected.  This is when I was listening to everything else except my bass heavy music.

I did run the XBA-H1 through my different laptops and AIO's.  Even used them on my home setup through the B&K receiver, NAD amp and Fender amp.  The E12A complimented the Sony's the best to me ears.

I've been considering the E12a for my H1 (and all the rest of my iems) so I'm glad to hear they play along nicely. They would be used with everything from my iPod shuffle to my phone.

I have used the E17 with most of my devices and the H1 and even though the devices don't lack volume, with the Fiio I can just hear something better (granted, not a huge difference), I just don't know what it is yet.

I've messed around with my friend's E17 before and found that the E12A sounded better. I use mine with full size headphones and earbuds.  The E12A is just dead silent like the old Ibasso amp I have.  The BBE app is what I use the most with the Iphone and E12A.  Easiest app that increases soundstage and rumbling bass.

Here's the E12A being silly.
