No headphones/IEMs detected. Does not compute.

@thatBeatsguy and @lookingforIEMs

Sorry about that. My photography skills are so bad; I could not get everything in the picture at once.

I am currently using JVC SZ2000 (after a pad change) for my portable listening needs.

@indieman

The microstreamer is a digital to analogue converter. It takes the digital signal provided by my music player and converts it to an analogue signal to be fed into the amp. The sound quality is a million times better than that produced by the rubbish converter chip inside the Galaxy S4.

Hi!

Here is my mid-fi rig I just assembled as a great contender for high quality:

iBasso DX50 ($249 new), JDSLabs C5D ($249) and listening with Astrotec AX-35 ($69 on Amazon).

So I am just inside the budget ;-)

Cheers,

K

EDIT: Yes, I forgot the cable, it's a Fiio L2, great quality but the length sucks, have another L16 incoming bumping the price of the rig another $15 up (still under $600)

Did you buy just L16 or the HS6 X5 stacking kit? As the latter has bunch of bonus along w/L16.....for lesser price of L16.

The L2 came with something. I am.using the HS6 for my X5 stack including the ls16. I agree the kit is a great deal as it contains the ls16 as well.
