At the moment, I'm liking the SQ of the DX50, but idk if I'd say hands down. The skpping of the 1st second of each song is really annoying!

Check to see what your gapless is set to, if its closed try setting it to 5 seconds, see if it persists.

I haven't had many bug people notice. Only one is sometimes having to play an album via directory before showing up in albums view

Well that seemed to do the trick. Does that mean gapless is moot?

Just leave it set on 5 seconds, gapless will work (with gapless albums). To my understanding the 5 seconds / 10 seconds are the buffering time DX50 cues up the next track, so just leave it set at 5 seconds and you should be fine.

Here is my current setup. 5.5G iPod > Fiio E17 > Bose IE2. I also have Bose QC3, but mainly use them for gaming, movies and plane flights. I'm getting ready to send the iPod off to Redwine Audio for the iMod. Also Beyerdynamic DT880s are in the mail. biggrin.gif

Last night I swapped the white front for a clear iVue cover. I also put a Zagg invisible shield on the cover. The invisible shield was damaged slightly when I tried to heat it to adhere it better. Another one is in the mail. tongue.gif. It bubbled slightly and I'm a perfectionist. I'm currently deployed so having to do so in an environment that doesn't offer the best work conditions lol.
