Nice thread! Some really good rigs in here.

With the correct source (preferably something warm with slightly rolled off highs) I enjoy H-300 more. Mostly because of their brighter tonality, transparency and extra clarity. As a recommendation for anyone who doesn't know what they're getting into with H-300 -  H3 is the safer choice as they're a touch warm all round, (think safety veil over the mid-range) with thick, creamy mids and strong soundstage.

Is that an E17? I also have the E17 and really enjoy it. I like the fact that it has an Equalizer on it.

Yes, it's an E17. Well spotted! I also like it's flexibility. When I'm out and about it's a great little amp, when I'm at home and dock it onto the E9 it's a great DAC and amp combo as part of my home rig. Great piece of kit.

Today's grocery rig, HFI-780's from the FiiO X3. A little ZZ Top "Chrome, Smoke & BBQ" makes for a fine shopping experience. smily_headphones1.gif

Recently pulled out my old porta pros just for the heck of it. I was pleasantly surprised; they pair quite nicely with my dragonfly 1.2. The df definitely tightens up that loose bass, and overall gives the pp's a kick in the pants resulting in much harsher sound (well, not harsh but def less laid back.). Rock sounds so good now. Perhaps an almost grado like sound? IDK but it is an improvement that's for sure.

Sorry for the grainy pics; the lighting in my listening area isn't the best :/, and sadly my best camera is in the picture >.<

Edit: Wow I should dust more often :P
