The RE-400 balanced sounds epic! Normal unbalanced it is nice as well but the RE-400B pairs better with the HM-700 than anything else I've heard it with.

Did you recable the RE400s?

No, they are the RE-400B, the balanced version from HiFiMAN. It comes with the HM-700. Best stock buds ever lol.

Is that you new DAP?

Yeah, came today. It is very hard to navigate but the pairing with the RE-400 is unbelievable.

Replacing your DX50s?

No, just a different flavour. I find they are leaning to the slightly v shaped sound.

Can't wait for the DX90!

Got this now discontinued Sony Walkman Z1050 DAP recently. Plays FLACs natively on the Walkman software. Good response on the UI, though could do with a bit more storage space.

I think this was the first Sony Android Walkman in 2010 or 2011...not so sure. A bit old now.

Sony 'best' first full digital (with video) walkman IMO. Price vs value far exceeds many players out there. To me, it deserves a place among walkman collectors. I wish they could revive it and bring in higher capacity models.

2 years old now. Amazing how things get so old at this day & age.

Yeah, about 2 years old. Agreed that we need higher cap now for DAPs. I wish they made this particular model with expandable memory. If they did, my DAP search would be over now. Great battery life too for a 2 year old player. I think it was not used so much previously.

Clocked about 8+ hours playtime last week.Held charge well too. Was only plugged in one time.

To me the Z is a piece of art. The slimness & design just screams class.

After 2 years the body is still in pristine condition with no cracks or dents yet, assuring me the body is solid.

The thing still holds it's usual charge for me as I circulate between daps, discmans & even walkmans during my music listening.
