Fiio X3 II and Sennheiser Amperior cans. Have fitted a cheapish chinese leather case purchased from Ebay. All controls on top face of player are easy to use, even though no cutouts provided. :)

I don't see much point in stacking it with an amp for my needs, it works brilliantly as is, and am extremely happy with this recent purchase.

How are the rockets? I have a friend who's a huge mid-head looking for IEMs.

Oh, and the red FLC8S look really nice. Kind of regret not getting it in red now...

...MINUS the LPS 16v Energizer external battery (desktop/transportable) PLUS phone with UAPP (to portable).

The sound off HRT + iBasso PB2 is 'desktop-grade (trans)portable' to me.

Combining a segmented current source DAC and a balanced amp with 3 gain levels (medium/high gain seems to bring more attack/dynamics/bite at the same volume level)

and 32 volts of swing on balanced-out and a peak total output of 5 watts headroom for the hardest-to-drive planars (Audeze 2.1/ HE-6) on the PB2.

My current rig that retails for over $600 but my cost was less since the DX50 was used and Hifiman had the 400i on a promo for $299 last year.
