Best optical cables for 192KHz listening

I just got a Bushmaster MKII DAC and would like to replace the very skinny optical cable that came with my mini system with something more up to date. The cable I have is at least 8 years old. The Bushmaster goes up to 192KHz so am I correct in thinking that I need optical cables that can pass 192KHz? How do I recognize if it is the right kind? I looked on ebay at cables but they don't say what frequency they go up to.

The sampling rate doesn't matter since it's digitally encoded.

You may not notice any difference. But if you want a solidly made cable, the Amazon Basics opticals are pretty good.

Thank you for the pointers. That is a huge relieve to me. There is a PC World shop not far from me. It sells cables but I don't want to ask the young shop assistants in there which cable to get. I am not overly confident that they would give me advice based on my needs instead on based on an eye on their sales commission.

I found something that looks like a cable in the box with the Beresford. It has a nylon mesh and is about 10mm thick. But it has a thicker see through plastic end with a gold coloured pin visible inside the plastic. It won't fit into the optical socket at the back of the Beresford. My old optical cable has not got that plastic end. Does anybody know what this cable might be for?

People often invest unnecessary money on digital interconnects. Unlike analog connects, they do not sound different from one another.  They are used to transmit a binary stream of 1's and 0's.  Optical cables are not susceptible to RFI/EMI. As long as all of the 1's and 0's are transmitted on $30 cable A, then it will not sound any different than the $200 cable B that is also transmitting all of the 1's and 0's.  Even the cheaper optical cables rarely experience data loss.
