Noise Canceling USB headset

Hey everyone longtime lurker here but just signed up because I cant find what I need through more lurking.

I am in search of good quality noise canceling USB headset that also provides good isolation from outside noise. I have found many examples of headsets with noise canceling microphones but what I am really in search of is a headset with noise canceling speakers. Unsure of a budget but any ideas would be great!

Thanks in advance

Any particular reason why you want USB and noise cancelling?

Noise cancelling broadcasts white noise in the background, which will have a definite impact on sound; and for the price you can likely get a very good set of noise isolating headphones and a separate mic that will sound orders of magnitude better than a USB headset will.

Just my input.

The reason behind noise canceling is actually a "business requirement". I am doing a little free time research to try and help out my boss. I personally agree with you about noise isolating vs noise canceling. The main purpose of the headset is for making calls through our VOIP phone system in a moderately noisy environment not necessarily listening to music. The reason I came to Head-fi is I couldn't think of a better place for anything headphone related even though music quality is not first and foremost on the requirement list.

The main criterion is that we can

1. use it with out laptops to make calls

2. have active noise canceling

3. not be excessively expensive(although I dont have a firm number on what that means.
