I can buy the fiio e07k for 85 USD with free shipping from mp4nation. The e17 will cost me 127 USD (above my budget by 37 USD ) with shipping included from ebay.
I have read that the e07k battery will last longer, the dac is pretty much the same, but the e17's amplifier is superior. Is there a big difference between the two?
Thanks again!

if you are looking for usb dac E07k is good and if you just need an headphone amp E11 is good. Choice is yours and depends on your requirements......if you use pc/laptop as source then usb dac is a nice choice but just headphone amp is all u need E11 is the best with budget and performance and features.

Ok. Add another $50 and buy FiiO X3. Its a good dap with powerful amp that pairs eith dn1k as well very nicely. You can sell c2 or keep it as a backup and for different listening sound......cowon's.

You wil also get a free brainwavz earphone which is $129 worth along with it. One single unit of X3 easy for portable no need to piggy back a player and amp to look like a brick.

Feel free to ask any doubts.......

Where will I see the greatest improvment in sound, with the e11 or the e07k? Because I am using my galaxy s4 and my Hp laptop (which noise floor level is quite high) with the dn1k. So which of them will make a better difference? (both of them fit my budget and if they amplification is the same I will go for the e07k due to more options)

Hopefully you don't mind me chiming in with a totally different POV.

In my experience - the DN-1000 don't need amping, and in fact gain very little (if anything) from it. So unless you have:
- a weak source
- an impedance mis-match
- another reason for wanting an add-on (eg hardware EQ, or DAC features)
I really see no point in getting anything extra.

I followed your last few posts - and to me it sounds like you're looking for something with DAC features for a possible noisy lap-top, and may want to correct an impedance mis-match (not sure - what is the headphone out on your S4?). If that's the case - the E07K will fix both.

FTR - I use the DN-1000 daily, and don't bother with an amp for either my iP4 or Studio V3. It sounds great as it is - and no need for bulky add-ons which add only cost. YMMV.

I ordered mine from MP4 nation with no problems. All expected accessories and at the time had a coupon for 15% off. And they included priority international shipping!
