I have just bought a regulator kit

I saw this chinese regulator kit and bought it because although i dont understand the schematic, it seem to have high performance. But when i received the kit and read the instruction (translate by google), seem that it can output less than 500ma or  will become too hot. They even suggest to set it at 100-150ma only. I plan to use it to power my amp which need about 600ma at 24v, is it possible? Here is the schematic:

It's a shunt regulator.

My bet is it won't work at 600mA

It would be a good regulator for powering the analog

section of a DAC though...

Thanks for your reply. So i try it with some of my low power amps: cmoy and o2 which run with battery previously and it work well and to my surprise, this new power supply is clearly better than the batteries which i think are the best power supply for amp. But i got some tizzy sound (not all the time, just in some song) in some bass or treble note, do you know what can be the source of problems here?
