If you haven't ordered yet buy from bigbargainsonline, eBay. 7 days from Hong Kong to Australia.

I'm confident you'll be pleased.

I sold my DX50 so never tried with Dunu, but if you contact Lin he owns that pairing.
SM3 would be arguably equal, but again it sounds much thicker creamer compared in the mid range. The Dunu is more exciting.

I already know he's going to tell you the same thing regarding AX60 vs DN-1000 because we have spoken about the two.

I have no problems in recommending the Dunu over AX60 because I think DN-1000 is absolute gem of a hybrid. A sure sign technology in audio is moving forward IMO.

Astrotec is going to release sth that will make you guys happy :o

There's nothing wrong with AX60, you can read my impressions in the Australianb tour thread I really liked it. I just as preference prefer the tonality of Dunu's hybrid. Even though it doesn't layer quite as well as the Astrotec. they both have trade offs for the others positives. The two things that swayed me were cooler tonality and $100 price difference.

Looking forward to the AX30/35... price/performance ratio will likely go through the roof with these two models...

One last question. Sorry if this is the wrong thread but it seem to be more active that the other one. Can anyone share some thoughts about Westone 3 vs Dunu Dn-1000? I can get them for the same price.

I will send you a PM msg regarding this in the morning (about 8 hours) as I've also owned W3 as well. But for now we must keep this thread on track young whipper snapper.

The source is planned to be iBasso dx50. I mostly listen to some energetic music like ost's from movies and games/ music from trailers which mean I like chorus + electro + instrumental music. So the main goal is to make the epic songs sound epic. Also I sometime enjoy only vocal/chorus music and the least is classical. All the other time it is just random songs from different genres. Can you please let me know which one of this 2 is going to be better for this type of music? I've had Earsonics SM3, Triple fi 10, Klipsch x10 and though I like Triple fi 10 more than others, the soundstage on Earsonics was awesome and klipsch had great fit. However, I do not looking at those earphones because they lack thickness which I assume I'd like to had which lead me to hybrids area. I am looking forward to your suggestions and you are my only hope towards the right decision :) Also I must notice that I do not really like sibilance - it makes my ears hurt :)

I understand you already ordered the Dunu (which I haven't heard), but your description sounds a lot like you might like the new Sony hybrid XBA-H3. Just my 2c, in case the Dunu don't turn out as you imagined them.

I have finally, finally finished my review of the AX60. I went shorter (maybe not sweeter) than usual. I hope it is helpful. I've come up with a bit more porridge than I had at first for a few simple reasons.

Overall, it remains one of my favourite earphones for its sound- at least when I can get that fit stays and is tight. The paint on my blue model is rubbing away. The fit is poor. But the sound is so damn impressive for what it is. Very very good. I digs it.

Fantastic review.

Triple points for using both the terms "your anus" and the word "cerumenolytic" in one review.

Also great images. Amazing work!
