Long thread title, longer review. I told myself to keep things under 1000 words, but then a new criterion presents itself every time I think I'm done. Ho hum.

The long short: This is a combo sold by Jaben Japan. It includes:

1. Otomatsu BDR-HPA02 x1

2. Your choice of a balanced Beyerdynamic T1 or T5

3. Centrance DACport x1

4. Stock 4-pin XLR balanced cable x1

Option:

1. Cryo cable. The Cryo cable is sold for 500$ US.

Japanese customers order from the Jaben Japan webpage. International customers can inquire about the combo from Jaben's webpage

I don't have enough time to layout a good summary of my review but I do have time to link to Sasaki's review of the exact same combo.

I'm very impressed with the following elements of the amp:

- low noise floor

- L/R balance for ANY headphone

- tracking for IEMs

- build quality

I am more impressed by the combo.

- great construction quality from Jaben

- clever locking cannon plugs

- amazing synergy in this all-in-one. Could be the last combo for some people.

I will add more opinions as time allows. It may not allow for a few days. Anyway, I highly recommend this system. It is especially suited for first-time upgraders and for system hoppers. If you already have a system, this combo is intriguing but far from necessary.

I will try to add more details this week. Otomatsu have some other pretty good packages, mostly DIY. Currawong has reviewed one DIY package.
