I hope you enjoy them as much as I am doing ......

spent the last few hours messing around the AIMP3 settings on playback...

plenty of scope for altering the sound....

ASIO4ALL and AIMP3 make a good combination on quality resample settings.... always fun to play a bit....

I meant the actual buying part, lol. Once I sell my M500 I'm going to save the funds for either this or a SoundMAGIC HP200. I want something to use with the BoomPro, since everyone has one except me... lol

first impressions.

This headphone is not hard at alllll to describe on a first listen. I dont care if people are mad at me for judging right away but I will report what is extremely obvious from one song even

+'s

transparent

detailed

grainless

smooth

decent soundstage

special sound that is easily hifi

-'s

balance

treble boost

extremely nasally on vocals

bass is nothing to talk about in qty or texture. actually on the light side

overall its hifi sounding but the balance is very off. Its sound quality is wayyyy better than the l1 and would be better than a lot of hp's if the balance was better.

Give it a day or two to loosen up  and swap the cable if you haven't already and the bass will fill out a  little and that first brightness will ease of a little..... still not found  a way round the vocal issue tho... it sounds better with male vocals than female....

look forward to hearing more from you

How would you describe the midrange resolution and prominence?

its not recessed but i need to hear it again.

If someone has an apple device and audio forge it would make a killer headphone. it just needs eq. I will mess with it again but its up for sale so i didnt want to.

Ha don't mind me. Me selling something nowadays is because I am able to accrue funds in PayPal for something bigger. All the while I get to try things I have wanted to. I wanted it to be end game portable but its balance is not for me. I don't like the bass and nasal sound. It wouldn't be fair to say something is better. The transparency detail black background, space even bests a lot of others but it means poop if I won't use eq. I will try it on audioforge and my iPhone when I get home. But the eq software I use won't work with soundcloud and Spotify so I can't depend on eq. Otherwise it would be a sick!! Hp.

Grizz, you mind trying' those 1540 pads on the L2 (if they fit) and report back on what changes it makes to the sound?

Thanks!
