Got mine a few weeks ago, LOVE em!

Sure you can hear ambient noise (I wear em in the office) but the soundstage is nice and vast, open, and full.

They have a nice airy sound and feel to them and the mids are just perfect to my ears.

I had to equalize up the bass a bit as I had it lowered for my Momentums but with a little more in the lower range smooths em out.

The highs are no where shrill or thin and I had to make little adjustments to my equalizer in that or the mid range.

Super comfy ear pads that actually fit over your ears vs the Momentums.

They can get a little hot over a few hours of use but don't pinch while wearing my glasses.

Really lame they are not replaceable and I wish they went with leather.

The headband can getting a little sore as it is thin thus reflects surface contact on a smaller area on the head so they make a little dent in the noggin over a few hours and have to be adjusted to alleviate that soreness.

I would have to say these are my favourite cans to date and I will have to sell off my Momentums since I just cannot wear em with glasses, they hurt.

Thanks for that mini-review.  I had the Momentum for a week and then bought the X1.  Had the same experience with the ears and glasses with the Momentum.  I LOVE the Philips Fidelio X1 and I really want to try out the L2 based on reviews and impressions I have read.

Yeah the Momentums are awesome but calling their $399 "Over the Ear" model 'over the ear' is silly.

They really are a larger 'on ear' model.

Now if they made them in an actual over the ear I might be sold lol.

If you are a glasses wearer you will dig the L2 but I am sure the X1 are just as accommodating for us 4 eyes.

No good, they won't ship to Canada...

For anyone that is looking for it in the UK it is back in stock on Amazon for £159.64 only a tenner more than what I bought them a month or so ago. Fantastic headphone for the price!

I was in two minds about the L2's so cancelled my £159 Amazon UK order. However, they've now gone down to  £140 so I'm finding it far hard to resist this time   : http://www.amazon.co.uk/Philips-Headphones-Incoming-Function-Microphone/dp/B00F4P7NG0/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1392799308&sr=8-1&keywords=fidelio+l2

£20 cheaper than the L1's are currently selling for...madness really but good news for us the customer.

At £140 I'd almost feel guilty smily_headphones1.gif robbing Philips blind kinda thing!

I notice you used the word almost there

Philips can't be selling many on their website I'd image (£237.99)....even after taking into account the 10% discount code that pops up they're still far from competitive.
