That's good to hear. I didn't mind the M50s. There's definitely more depth to the music than with my earbuds. And I noticed that the bass wasn't nearly as bad as with my cheaper headphones I had 10 years ago that became very static when the bass hit.

Surprised by all the positive reviews on this headphone and that it never came up on my search especially for the price point.

I did note that you stated you haven't worn these much in the past year, which ones did you switch over to? I saw that you were also selling higher end Sennheiser (quite a step up in price point from these) and said you actually like IEMs? Any reason for the switchover from headphones to IEMs?

I used them up until I bought my Beyerdynamic DT770 Pro-80 Ohm. I loved my Sennheiser HD580 to death, but I will never know what headphone is perfect for me unless I try different kinds, so I sold them off. I just got my Westone 4's (modded to 4r) in the mail the other day and am liking them so far. I always thought spending more than $100 on IEMs was crazy, but I know if I end up wanting something different, the Westone 4 won't be too hard to get rid of. I'm not switching over to IEMs, I will have more Over ear headphones again. It is nice, however, that IEMs aren't bulky and don't mess your hair up wink.gif

Decided who to give them to yet?

Nope. I won't be sitting down to decide that until Tuesday morning.

Being a tinkerer myself I know what you mean. I must have 10+ tennis racquets now, modified most of them with weight/balance/string type/string tension. After a while I figured that no one racquet is going to be exactly perfect for me. The best way is to take a one that's closest and modify it to my taste.

I am weary of doing something with electronics though since I tend to break things when messing with them lol. I'll probably end up modifying non-electrical parts more like the ear pads and see about if it's possible to change headbands.

IEMs definitely more portable. Good luck trying to find your holy grail of headphones/IEMs!

Leaving aside the contest. Seeing the cable through the tunnel looks awesome. (I took all my piercings out a few years ago)

Comment Removed (I realized it was a little too personal and too much information about my life, viewable by the public.

I want you to know.. that I want to win these headphones.

But it should go to someone who deserves it.. or doesn't have any cans.

Regardless, I'll send you the money now.. and you can just ship it to me. :)

Hopefully i'll get the set, could be a new start for me to venture into the audiophile world. I had the vsonic gr06 a year back, and an upgrade to headphones will be awesome !!!

Ha thanks, I must have looked over your comment earlier. I like my piercings still. The good thing about having the Westone 4s is now my headphones don't touch my ear lobes :)

::DECISION::

Okay everyone, I have decided who I am going to be giving these to. I considered every entry left in the comments, and bhavingparmar came out on top. He has been a member of Head-fi since Feb 2012 so it's obvious he didn't just start a new account just to win some headphones, and it sounds like he (his dad) could really use these and benefit from having them.

This whole thing was about giving them away to someone who NEEDS them.

Thank you to everyone who submitted an entry. Pay it forward people.

Thank you so much! This means a lot since I usually don't win giveaways. Whether I had won this or not, I know that this community is amazing. I've actually been checking out the forums since 2008 or 2009, but only made an account last year. Through all these years, I've seen helpful people who are both knowledgeable and kind and can answer just about any audio related question that one has.

I know my dad will like these a lot. Thank you to others who have entered and I'm sure some other kind member will have a giveaway that you may possibly win. Some day I hope to do the same thing and give away some good audio equipment when I'm in the position to do so. (As of now I don't really own much haha)
