Sony NWZ-ZX1 - 35th Walkman Anniversary model - Page 40

F series will be out soon, ZX1 will be out in December I believe. The S-Master HX IS the DAC chip, the DAC chip itself is the same. The ZX1 is said to have the analog stage of D100, which will sound much better than the F series.

Also what's so special when compared to F880?

I see both have the same resolution, both have LCD technology and screen size.

Only thing different is the dimensions and weight.

Is it the DAC that separates the two?

Wait what the heck is the F887? The recent announcements have been talking about the F880.

Oh never mind. Screw Sony's retarded naming system.

I know that. I'm thinking there is a ZX1 being released this year 2013 and an anniversary edition in 2014.

Thank You!

I think the F880 is the series name and models will go by

F887 - 64GB

F886 - 32GB

F885 - 16GB and so on...

I aint waitin for it to come to the uk.

Even if it does, they are gonna rip us off big time, in other words, ordering from Price Japan would be cheaper or if i have to pay tax, then it will be the same as the expected release in uk.

So, why wait?

Unless you are prepared to wait a year or so, it will be cheaper then...

just order from japan and avoid the uk release. uk = volume cap nonsense

Sent from my Nexus 4 now Free

can they even do volume cap on andriod? It is matter of just using a different app and problem should be solved.

I'm actually hoping that since the ZX1 will be sold without earphones, it won't get a volume cap. After all, the EU regulations limit the volume that a device produces with its included headphones. Sony's audio recorders have no earphones included, and they get much louder than any capped Sony devices I have owned.

I have my doubts that the ZX1 will ever see release outside of Japan, considering Sony didn't even bother to release the 64gb of the F800 series anywhere else. hope I am wrong about that.

also I keep seeing people refer to it as the NWZ-ZX1 (here and on blogs and other sites) but on the Sony site it's listed as the NW-ZX1 with no Z after the NW before the hyphen and usually any Sony products outside of Japan have a Z at the end of the first set of letters before the hyphen - a perfect example is the NWZ-E345 or NWZ-E365 or the American 32gb version of the F800 series which is NWZ-F806 yet the same model in Japan is called the NW-F806.so the Z or lack there of in the first set of letters seems to be indicative of region.

There are some F880 series Walkman's on Ebay already (shipped from Japan) ,all three models (F8885,F886 & F887) though to get them you'll pay roughly $140 (or £87.60) more than Japanese retail .here's a link for the 64gb model below. this is from the CONUS Ebay site though I'm willing to bet by now they are listed in most other countries as a Japanese import as well. seeing these prices makes me think that when the ZX1 comes out in December that even thought it is 775 yen (roughly $407 or £255) that the sellers from Japan will sell them for at least another $100-$150 mark up,likely more. I am hoping the same vendor I purchased my F807 from on Amazon (Blueskyangel Japan) will offer the ZX1 when its released as I got the F807 relatively inexpensive ($338 including expedited shipping).

Hi, have you ever ordered from Price Japan before, and what's your experience, if so ? I've just had a look on their website, based on DHL method of delivery. £525 to the U.K. which I think will be similar to UK price ? Not sure I would order via them though, because of added customs charges ?? One other factor to take into account, is if should have anything wrong / go wrong with your player ??
