Good luck bro, I'm extremely pleased with mine. I was coming from an Ipod 1g touch... Lol, so not much to go against there for Sony.

Also disabled many in-built Apps without any negative effects. Now thinking about the nova launcher, although the home screen doesn't really bother me much. What about the widgets, can they be deleted?

Widgets can be deleted or added as you choose. Nova is an excellent launcher. Lots of nice icon packs too.

Nova is great-much better than stock launcher. It's always the first thing I install on any of my Android devices.

non-oleophobic screen is really a minus. I loved the screen of my Note 2, its screen was really slippery, but on zx1 my finger doesn2t slip.

Put a screen protector on it. Then your finger will slide again.

After going from iphone5+Theorem720 stack to Hifiman HM700 to Fiio X5, I'm not satisfied in the slightest with either UI, ergonomics ETC which is where the ZX1 seems to excel.

I want to get the ZX1 and I just have a couple questions:

-Is the interface fast and fluid? Does it drop frames/microstutter?

-Does the device ever crash?

Thank you

Interface for me is near perfect. Very fluid and fast. I've had mine for 2 weeks, no crashing. Not sure what microstutter is... But it plays perfectly for me

micro st-st-stutter.

Lol. I-i-i-i wasn't su-su-sure

Thought micro stutters happened on dual graphics cards below 60 fps?

Compared to the Note 3 the ZX1 is slow and hesitant, but, versus the HM-802 the ZX1 is lightning fast.

It happens whenever frame time variance is very high. For example 5 frames: 60fps, 59, 13, 58 60 60. The reason why I ask is that Android OS tends to stutter profusely when vertically scrolling any non native apps (native apps = "Settings" or "Gallery").

Even AK240 stutters consistently on vertical scrolling. Well, unless you scroll REALLY slow.

Third party apps like Tapatalk, Facebook tend to stutter. I'm just trying to find out if they coded the stock player in native language or java (big hit on resource handling and latency due to having to run java code inside a VM AFAIK)

Thanks for clearing that up. I have yet to see any stuttering on mine. I only use the native music player
