Any idea whether DSD will be part of the update?

yes you'll be able to upload DSD though I believe the ZX1 will convert to pcm(?) for playback.. you just know they'll tweak the sound and it will be interesting to see if they upgrade the Android UI like they did on the WM-Z.

ps... the update includes the F886/7.

It is depend how the internal amp is configured. The original s-master pro amplifier on my str-da9000es does the DSD natively.

Yeah, I got mine in 36 hours as well. Faster than buying from some shops in Australia!

Can any Brits recommend a USB mains charger? I'm reluctant to buy any old cheap Chinese thing. Can I use the one that came with my iPhone?

So how does the warranty work then? If you buy from Japan can you back to Sony UK if you have any issues?I notice there's only a 1 year warranty on the Japanese ones instead if the usual 2 years as well.

Thanks for that.

I don't suppose there's a walkman dock/cradle suitable for the ZX1 is there?

How do we line out the ZX1? When you say line out, the USB line out or 3.5mm line out?

Final steps 9 and 10 could be different but still somewhat similar to ZX1. I don't have USB DAC with DSD decoding to test yet since Korg MR2 could only handle files stored on SD cards.

Thanks!

there's two options on the ZX1 for Line-Out... via the headphone mini-jack or the WM-Port (see seeteeyou's link for cable), the latter will give you slightly better results.
