Here I took two pictures of my blue one for anybody who might think about it. It is not bad but it takes quite a bit of the classi look of the ZX1 away.

I'm starting to feel that maybe having it go naked + attaching a lanyard might be the best balance between safety and looks.

There's a better way to import *.DSF into ZX1 with X-Appli version 5.1

http://sonicstage.update.sony.net/v5100/JP/x-APPLICATION_S_V5100.exe

Extract x-APPLICATION_S_V5100.exe with WinRAR first, then edit the file SetupXAPP.ini by changing supportoslang =Japanese to supportoslang =English

After X-Appli is installed, modify the registry key by changing the value to 1

(32-bit Windows) HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Sony Corporation\SonicStage V\Import\Extension\HighRes

(64-bit Windows) HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Sony Corporation\SonicStage V\Import\Extension\HighRes

I truly wish I was that easy going. But my phone only still lives because of its protection having fallen down 4 to 6 times now. But clearly yous looks much better then mine. I think "naked" is the way it should be displayed.

I keep mine completely unprotected in a pouch full of sand and rusted screws.

Just what I was thinking :) ... is the supplied case that bad?

you have to pull the ZX out of it to reach anything. Even the battens are covered let alone the touchscrene. So for me it is unusable.

Edit: in terms of usability and protection the case on my photos is quite good. It fits snug and every batten works well. When my screen protector finally comes I am quite satisfied with the protection.

I've used mine mainly at one of 2 desks. I use the supplied case to move it between desks, once I'm in place, I take it out. So it works well if you're in a situation like that.

I'm so digging just finding any music I think of and being able to listen to it... of course via Sony's 320 AAC high quality files and the ZX1's SQ. Very, very enjoyable. In the mood for some classic Pink Floyd, no prob. Bigger battery drain though!

Interested to know how you are using the service, through the separate app for Mu I assume, rather than any linkage through other players, like on the xperia phones?

Cheers

Hi there,

I'm only half way through reading this mammoth thread, but I am almost completely sold on getting a ZX1.

Has anyone used it with Google Play Music at all?....specifically with an All Access pass? How is the experience?

If it works well my plan is to use the All Access Pass and 'pin' my favourite albums to the player for offline use and use the radio and search to listen to other music when connected to WiFi.

Does that sound feasible?

Thanks for any insight.

I use it for All Access. Works great. Your plan will work just fine.

Excellent.

I expect my AK100 will be up for sale soon. (I also have an X5 pre-ordered)

Look what I found today:

It looks a bit like the pouch we discussed from Japan, does it not?
