I've been using the cheaper SBH-20 BT headset in a similar way to your SBH-52 'walkman remote' hack. Having a remote enhances the experience immeasurably. Just wondering are you able to control volume through the SBH-52? Due to the way the SBH-20 operates remote volume control is non-functional.

Also can the SBH-52 display track info when music is being output through your PHA-2's audio jack?

Thanks!

Unfortunately you cannot control de volume also with the SBH-52, on the other hand, if you connect the PHA-2 to the F886 it is still treated as "headphone output", in other words, yes. I can see the tittle of my songs using the PHA-2 no problem, and I love it because the volume is located in the amplifier, so I can change that if needed.

Code has been given to sicko, I hope you enjoy your walkman as much as we do!

Thanks for confirming the remote volume functionality with the SBH-52. I assumed as much, as the volume buttons on these BT receivers are probably wired to the amplifier circuitry onboard as opposed to sending a volume up or volume down signal to the host android/ iOS device.

Oh well, I usually set the volume to an acceptable level anyway. So having access to all the other basic controls except for volume ain't a big deal.

Hi mate, I'm late to this thread and still catching up; around one month behind. In case no one has answered your question, I use tag&rename - select the files in the compilation, edit all tags, give the files the same album name and check the 'part of a compilation' box. hope this helps/works.

Is there any decent display protection available? I am looking for something more solid then a foil. For my handy I have a thin glas but I could not find any for the ZX1. Maybe someone with more language possibilities than my German and English?

My family thinks I am crazy but I feel the strong need to protect this DAP from the ruff world out there.

I'm going to say it... you are going to the extreme, but would understand considering the price tag of the ZX1. I have the original screen protector and is quite tick compared to other foil protections, the sad truth is... this is only sold at japan. You my try luck looking it on ebay.

Can anyone confirm if the ZX1 has a recording feature whereby it can be used as a voice recorder?

Just a very short test: I was able to speak to it so google could search for the word I spoke. There must be a kind of mic there.

Does that help?

Do you speak Japanese? There's an app that looks like it might be, but I haven't taken Japanese in years, and can't get it to do anything. But there's a big record button and some level looking things. From the icon it appears it might be for using with an external source, though (it has a 3.5mm jack along with what looks like a record button). I would just download one from the Play Store if I needed it.

No I don't. I will wait till the player arrived locally and then I will buy it and download the app from the play store if I need it :)

Did anyone use this with MDR-Z1000 headphones, if yes what are the advantages over the Z? Thanks!
