It's like any other OS, in my experience. Don't load it up with any apps you don't need on it as an audio player and there'd be little chance of it getting clunky on you. If I had it my way, I'd ensure there were no Google applications on my F807 whatsoever aside from Google Play. Less is more.

Does this new High Resolution Walkman support flac files?

I really do not understand this battery thing. I have never had a battery failure on ANY DAP. I have had an Ipod Classic for...6 or 7 years have not changed the battery. By the time your ZX1 battery fails, we will be listening to music via neural implants.

On the UI, it is one of the best I have and an excellent android implementation, with almost no useless crap. So unless you install useless crap yourself, if will not become clunky.

You must be kidding.

I suspected as much. Sony just don't want my money.

Ok you were not kidding. Of course it supports FLAC. I have 123gb of it on mine. But for such questions, it is much simpler to check the specs of the player.

I did check the spec and saw no mention of flac playback, hence my question. Are these available in the UK yet?

I typed in sony zx1 spec sheet into google and I directly found the verge page where it says , yes it can play FLAC, why wouldn't they support it ? even if they don't , its android based so you can switch up to another player app altogether

these are not available in the UK

Thanks for the help. Ultimately pointless, but thanks anyway.

Is that a bot?? Has to be
A bot? No, just someone pissed off at Sony finally making my dream product only for them to not release it in my country.

order from pricejapan. i'd say 90% of the owners here in this thread have gone that route

It will be released in UK sometime early March, go to Sony UK website (although the preorder isn't working yet!).

Yup, that's what I did. No problem whatsoever in the process. I will continue to look to PJ if I ever want to order any obscure Japanese gear that doesn't get released here...
