Yes however it's more like a pouch. And with the one that came from Sony, it's like a pouch within a pouch. I've dropped the ZX1 before in the Vannuys pouch and it protects the ZX1 well. But the concern is when I yank it out to access the touch screen naturally. Which is why I bought the little finger ring strap so that when I yank out the ZX1, little chance of it falling off. Actually I think with this case, I may not be able to use the little finger ring strap anymore.

Wait, does the strap not come with the case? As I see it on the following pic, you can access the screen without fully opening the pouch no? Also, can you access the side buttons without opening the pouch? Maybe Cruzerlite inside of Van Nuys is the solution...

Ring strap optional. Cruzelite in the Vannuys is the intention - just like how I had the AK120 in its Buttero, in the Vannuys.

Q: folks do you find that Settings -> Backup & Reset -> Backup my data drains your battery even though you're not online? What's your default setting?

Not needing to use the backup so far.

Still figuring out Android hehe

I bought a 2nd hand ZX1 (for someone on HF) from e-earphone. And looked at its stats...2.5 days after charging but completely idle, it was down to 68% battery life. Whereas mine (admittedly has been rooted) went down 16% just from 4 hrs from a full charge this morning. My battery life definitely is not as long as when I first had it. But since then I've maxed out its storage with music, rooted it, put on some apps, have synced some stuff, etc. Although I switched off syncing, I think something else has been trying to sync even when the WiFi is off.

Just another option for those who might be looking for some sort of travel case for the ZX1: Moleskine Shell (small)

The ZX1 fits quite snuggly and there is also enough room to store my GR07s in there.

I think once you key in your Google account, it will activate all the Google related apps on the device.
Including email checking, possible cause for battery drain.
I noticed the batt meter stays at halfway for quite some time.
I've charged it twice over the 3 days (once full charge, once partial)
Pretty long lasting compared to my iphone and nano.

U might want to try limiting the background process to 1 or 2 or check the "don't keep activities" under developer options.

To enhance the speed and make it smoother, set the window, transition and animator scale to 0.5x. Everything speeds up and became buttery smooth.

For me, I don't have any batteriy issues, I listen the whole day in office and always had some charge left. About the same as itouch..

You can have moon-audio make you the cable, but it's not a balanced signal coming out of the sonyplayer anyway. If you feed a single-ended signal into the SR71B's balanced input, you can end up burning the amp.

Use your money to get a balanced cable to use with SR71B's headphoneoutput -> your headphones. That's what I did, and it is great. That amp is a beast!

Seems like zx-1 not going to be released in australia in anytime soon :(

Hi guys, i need an advice on iem pairing.

I am seriously considering the 1plus2's, but seeing how expensive they are i might just wait and get either Roxannes or the Mentors, any opinions please?

I am selling, trading my 334's with the ooo cable as an extra to get new ones.

Thanks

I have balanced cables for both my CIEMs and larger cans that I use with SR71Bs.  I guess you are going from ZX1 -> single ended input on SR71B, which is exactly what I have.  I thought hard about going with a Centrance setup because I was curious about whether a "truly" balanced rig would make a huge difference, but just can't get over the size as well as less-than-elegant connection options...

Agree about the amp.  Recently switched to SR71B from ALO RXmk3b+, and although I miss the bass boost on the ALO, overall I am happier with the SR71B.

I don't know were this story originated from. I went to the Australia Sony site to find no mention anywhere of this player. My belief is the ZX-1 would be prohibitively expensive and therefore a very weak seller.

Nope, I have the iBasso DX50, but LO -> SR71b -> balanced -> HD700, so the soundchain is the same.

I'm thinking about getting the RWAK-120B to get a true balanced chain all the way, but I'm not really certain that it is worth the money, hence looking at other options also...
