Early walkmans were king in the day, and I feel they are making a step in the right direction with this release. I'll wait and see what the specs look like with the M, but I have my eyes on the Sony right now.

I'm feeling the opposite, I feel the M is going to be epic. Can't wait till its out so I can compare it to the ZX1 :) I'm also looking forward to the X5, I'm sure it will sound great but I hate having to use a tiny screen. I also hope iBasso comes out with a new flagship that isn't as bulky and has better usability with a faster OS and more features in it. I did like the DX50 though, I would say its the best value in terms of price for great sound. Not really hyped for the AK140 :S

You are right that there will always be compromise, and no one DAP will have everything we want, its really a matter of space, can't fit everything all people want into a reasonably sized device (at a reasonable cost) :P

Just finished shopping Sony Ginza picking up a few accessories & asked about the ZX1. Still sold out despite shipping 2x to me yesterday. Guess they're still severely backordered.

BTW, as wide as the soundstage the ZX1 is, it's not as wide alone as if it were paired with the PHA-2 (with JHA Roxannes).

Tera is the best from the all above with the closest SQ to vinyl. Very natural with the blackest background.Ohh and forgot to add.You can listen for 10 hours and no fatiqueat at all.

That's believable considering the price.
