Just wondering why do you think the headphone out performs better than the line out?

because there is no discernible difference between the two & you have more control over H/O.

How do you have more control? You are using an external amp with its own volume control. Won't argue with the discernible sound differences since there are two many variables.

using H/O you can still use tweak the sound if you fancy it... yes I am using an external Amp (PHA-2) with both the ZX1/F887, I set the volume to max on the Walkman and control the volume from the PHA-2.

Then essentially what you are doing is using the H/O as an existing L/O, correct? Why not just use the L/O instead? I think I understand what you are saying, but you can control your volume much more precisely using only one pot. As well as other measurable differences, but that is for a different discussion.

is it because the selling point of this DAP is its s-master digital amp and that the sound coming out from the PO is superior yet as clean??

Shame, I guess I'll be using it more via headphone out into the amps

I wonder is a firmware update can help correct that?

because it would mean using the WM-LOD... which is not very practical for portability.

Doesn't seem very cumbersome... but I guess whatever is more convenient per the individual.

I meant via the Female WM-LOD/Port>mini-jack/mini-jack... if you owned a Walkman you'd probably know what I'm on about.

Mine is below

I love the detail and sound stage of this port but h/o bass is greater.

Is there anyone who paired the ZX1 with a Portaphile 627 amp? Is it a good combination?

Anak... could you please tell me if the WM-Port below can be used as a USB>mini-USB out, can't seem to find any definitive info, cheers.
