And if someone has the AK100/100MK2/120, etc. how are the user experiences compare (i,.e. regarding UI responsiveness, etc.). I guess most of my other questions were answered.
For using the ZX1 as a transport (to an external USB DAC/Amp), you'll need the WMC-NWH10 USB DAC cable. This basically converts the proprietary WM-port to a female USB Type A port. So far I've successfully used the Leckerton UHA-6Mk2 only with the ZX1, I've not been able to use it with the Resonessence Lab Herus, nor the Tralucent DAC/Amp One prototype.
As for using the ZX1 as a source to an external amp, one needs something like the Bispa BSP-HPCL-8NSGLWM which takes the analogue signals out of the WM-port into an external amp.
About UI responses, I can only speak in comparison for my formerly owned AK120. For me at least the size of the AK120 screen took longer to scroll through than the ZX1's larger screen. Also when it comes to using the GUI when a hires FLAC is playing, the ZX1 is more responsive. Further more the ZX1 one has a search feature (since it benefits from Android's soft keyboard) which is faster for me to look for particular artists, tracks, or albums than the AK120's scrolling. Also the time lag in just clicking on "play" is shorter on the ZX1 than the AK120.
Volume step granularity though the AK120 is finer with smaller incremental steps. Size-wise, the AK120 definitely fits into the pocket easier. The ZX1 is more like a smart phone (and if you're already carrying a smart phone, it's like carrying 2xsmart phones).
