Have you heard one actually?

Mim did, you may ask him I believe.

No one said otherwise

The thing about the Tera is its so ridiculously overpriced with the notion that it sounds that much better than anything else out there , that's to quote Charles (not literally).
IMO it does not, not even close, I find it quite flat and lifeless, but hey I paid the money..
Now I know better:D

Well saying a player puts another to shame infers that people who know the Tera that the ZX1 is immensely superior overall and in terms of SQ. I love the ZX1 as stated previously, in all its aspects, but I do not find it superior to the Tera in terms of SQ. And I do not think people who buy should expect that. Hence my comment.

How does it stack against the AK120 or DX50?

Maybe you have a bad pairing? The Tera is picky but with a good pairing it sounds anything but lifeless. Anyways...back to ZX1.

Mimouille, how far apart would you say the ZX1 and the HM901 is with your customs in terms of sound? I think I'm just about there deciding on the ZX1 although some of the HM901 ads are real tempting.

I prefer ZX1 over AK120 both in SQ and ergonomics, but others may prefer ak120 sound. The ZX1 sounds more open and airy to me.

This is like alcohol withdrawal syndrome once you recover because you already drank the liquid you gotta find excuses to keep doing it, in this case using it. I seriously doubt I would have paid that much money even if it claimed heaven like SQ if the interface is how may I put it, inexistent. Great when you are in the dark and need to operate the tiny player.

The ZX1 has it stands with it's fantastic interface and it's hi-res SQ gotta be the dap to beat not the TP.

I have no clue what you just said or tried to say, but as you seem to own neither and I own both, I strongly doubt you will bring me or anyone any valuable information. Thanks for trying though.

I read about it, checked Charles web page and there is a lot of hype about it you don't have to own it to believe it's over priced for what it's supposed to do, that's true with any players. So even if I don't own it, it still allows me to say what I think about it or the interface or lack thereof and my decision to stay away from it but if you have it then a fair comparison would be better appreciated. At least woodcans is courageous enough to give a true appreciation.

Musicheaven no offence my friend but that is the most ridiculous comment I have ever read on here.
How can you say you don't need to own it to say what you just did.I wish you lived closer to play you some proper music out of my Tera to see what I am talking about.
Yes is expensive but here we are talking only about the SQ.
P.S. when I went to London head first meet I was the only guy in the whole room with a Tera and all they heard it were really surprised about the sound with the very cheep Korta Koss.
And yes is 100%bug free since it doesn't need a firmware is all ARM programming language.
Thank you for trying lol.

Sure I am no trolling I am interested in the ZX1 but wanna hear more impressions about it, so if you think it's the most ridiculous comment suit yourself. Didn't you just say you were the only one with the TP in the room?
