I'm a new member from Germany, following this interesting thread for quite a while already. The ZX1 sounds very interesting to me, wanted to pair it with my UE 11 Pro's.
Because I wasn't shure if the ZX1 would be published in Japan not only with Japanese menu but also in English I wrote an email directly to Sony Marketing Japan. That's the answer I got yesterday:

the product name of Walkman, not NWZ-ZX1, is planned to release only for domestic market in
Japan. We regret to inform you however Sony Japan has not any plan to release this model (NW-ZX1)
to overseas market in our current product management. And your question about the language
function for menu screens in English, NW-ZX1 will be planned to offer only with Japanese menu.
Also concerning the plan for releasing the same type model as NW-ZX1 to Germany market, let
us excuse for your kind acceptance however we have no reliable information regarding the
management of new overseas products in foreign market including your region's. As the most
reliable advice for your confirmation of the release plan for the Walkman which is correspond
to NW-ZX1, the Sony Support Desk in Germany could be kindly recommended.

How are you guys dealing with this, especially the folks who already preordered? Seems to be pretty risky to me to place an expensive preorder thru PriceJapan finally getting a device which probably runs in Japanese only. Do you have other reliable information on this? Thanks a lot for comments...
