You could be right, but it depends if the the jack used has the sensing feature. if the headphone out jack doesn't have the 'sense' connection to the controller, then we're out of luck. if both line out and headphone out use the same jack, and is physically wired to the controller, then its possible to enable it in a future firmware update.

However, looking at the two different jacks, it looks like only the line out has the jack sensing connection. stare down into the jack and you'll notice the line out has two terminals at the very end, whereas the headphone out doesn't have anything, so I highly doubt it.

I stared at the two jacks internal and they look the same to me. I'll ask iBasso if this is something intentional and if it can be re-programmed.

EDIT:
I stand corrected, they said can't be done because of hardware design. The line out choice is intentional (auto stop playback feature) and the volume control is from the wm8740 so it operates on all of the dac outputs which means line out and headphone out from the dac, basically they can't be separated.

I had similar situation as the DX50 had stopped playing file.  What you need to do is to download the latest firmware, install it properly, and try again.  Once I did this, my player works again.  Yes, it is very frustrating.  And resetting the player will not solve your issue.

The thing is, it was working properly on the previous firmwares. Did they intentionally change this?

Something definitively happened with 1.2. Before I used to just perform the standard readme instructions and everything went well, with 1.2 I had to go into recovery mode, the dap refused to boot up.

I was able to successfully installed the 1.2.0 during the first trail, but then the player went unstable after couple of days.  I tried resetting player & flash the firmware couple more times to no avail.  Later I noticed notice that the update file was never deleted so download the new firmware, and perform the fresh update from the beginning again.  The player works fine now.  Good lucks with yours.

Worked a treat on my files. Now all on my Samsung card and all recognised and playing hapily on my Ibasso which seems very stable on 1.20.

Once again many thanks for taking the time/trouble to do this.

Glad it helped... and appreciate the feedback. I am sure most scan problems would be eliminated with this procedure. Just need more people to try it!

Followed your great advice, made the program work accordingly.

Unfortunately my iBasso doesn't finish the scan regardless :S

I hope now that I can change the card and try another one and hopefully- there was a problem with my card and not the player...

Can anyone help me with this?  My trouble with the DX50 continues.  Now it won't boot up at all unless I plug it in to my computer.  Once eject, it stucks on this screen.  I tried flush the firmware, perform factory resent...and still...I'm stuck on this screen.  I tried with firmware 1.2.0. though.

Oh boy... looks like Ibasso has to have the next firware update perfected. The firmware install should also really clean the player well like do a low level format of some kind. And Ibasso... Don't forget to support album art with ogg vorbis files.

I can try but keep in mind, hard to do if I can't repeat your problem. Have you tried a factory reset from the recovery window?

First take the battery out and plug it back in, see if this would help. Then try next the factory reset through the recovery window. You know how to do it right? Now in all instances do not plug any external sc cards. Let me know where that will take you.

I did that already...and it still loop back to that screen.  I'm thinking about installing V1.1.6 firmware.  1.2.0 gave me all sorts of problems.

It is certainly an interim solution, then wait until the next release comes out and try that one instead.

You could always return the dap and complain to iBasso I am sure they would fix it but then it'll take you out on the shipping costs.

I have another idea. I am wondering If your problem is related to the file image not being deleted when factory resetting the unit. If that is the case, the best is to install the image again but from the external sd card after you have successfully installed 1.1.6.

I'm trying to see if others have experience this same problem.  My player has been fairly okay beside the known issues from the beginning; however, things went crazy in a really bad ways after I installed the latest 1.2.0 firmware.  First my player refused to play file and required three firmware re-installation.  It solved the issues for a day and now I have this screen.  Basically the player refuse to boot up.
