No freezing, no weird volume surges, no SD scan issues, no missing albums in the album display menu, no physical defects, and it sounds quite good. All the player needs now is a playlist app and I would be 100% happy. Looks like my player is heading back to iBasso headquarters and I'm going to be playing the waiting game again for the next couple of weeks. By the way, I have to pay shipping there and they cover shipping back, right?
I'm sure you try this all but just throwing out all combinations to avoid the hassle of shipping back and forth:
1. try different usb ports (usb 2/usb 3/front/back if there are such etc.), My unit works with Win7 64bti on all usb 2 and usb 3 ports I have.
2. try different computer (PC/Mac/Notebook whatever you can get your hand on). My unit works on the Win7 64-bit Intel plus MacBook Air 11 2012
3. try different USB cables (stock, ones that comes with your android phones). My unit works on my stock and Note2 usb cable, but IT DOES NOT WORKS with two nondescript cheapo USB charging cables, also DOES NOT WORKS when connected thru an nondescript USB extension cable.
4. try different DX50 if you can find one around you
I had once returned a Galaxy S3 because of USB connection issues only to find out it is my cable that was the culprit and I became very careful with those cheapo usb cables we get from local computer/phone accessory shops here.
