Well this is what we would expect from a matured business and giving us alternate resolution rather than discussing the known issues again and again which yields nothing but bitter experience.......this retains a loyal customer and builds a confident level among the shoppers of mp4nation end of the day....Happy customers>Happy business>Happy customers!!! Thats a loop not to be broken.wink.gif

This encourages me to take another plunge into xmas deals...........

Raz is understanding, so you probably should have contacted him earlier to try to find a solution instead of me having to bring up that issue again and complain about the labeling of the packages. Anyway, It's good that your issue will finally be resolved.
On another note, I've been too lazy lately but I'll probably share my impressions of the Deltas tomorrow (or later today if I feel like it).

Nah, I have some personal issues and an unexpected illness in the family, so I don't get much sleep, which makes me a bit lazy. I actually drink rarely and very little lately but will pick up the pace next week to get myself into a more festive mood

Thanks. Better is a bit of a stretch with that diagnosis but hopefully it won't get worse too fast coz my brother is too young.

Anyway, I also kinda miss the excitement of waking up with close to no memories and checking what head-fi discussions I got myself into and what stuff I purchased online driven by the alcohol.

Sometimes you don't even know you're getting something for days. The paypal confirmation arrives immediately and I'll probably check it right away in my drunk state and several days later when I look for an older e-mail I'll see it and realize I bought something new. Or like last week when I apparently I ordered the Meelec mee-what and found out I did 2 days later when I received an email in my yahoo mail that the package has been dispatched LOL

Wow thats a proper surprise, one time you should just forget to check all-together and just wait for something to arrive at your door. Will be more fun that way lol

Well, it's even funnier coz it's "mee what" and is supposed to be a surprise, so I'm still not sure which of the iems included in the promotion I'll be getting. Still, a bunch more tips and some a couple of cheap iems with mic to give someone as a gift.

Nah, the statement is still true - I'm not saying it doesn't boost sq, I'm just saying I don't do it that often and in such quantities. And that's one of the most expensive ways to get a higher sq anyway.

On another note, I got a bit drunk now so I don't get any blame for reviewing certain iems under influence, which gives them an edge, while auditioning the Deltas completely sober.

Here are some impressions on build quality and tip rolling.

The build quality is pretty good for the price. The housings seem solid although if I didn't know or if it wasn't winter (coz they get cold obviously) I would think they are made of shiny plastic from the way the rattle when hit each other when they are hanging on my neck. The cable is fine - nothing spectacular - a bit tangly and rubbery but I've seen worse for a lot more money, so I can't complain although it is microphonic.

I did some trip rolling, which isn't over most likely coz I tend to spend at least few weeks until I settle on certain tips. As I said before, the first tips I tried were the clear meelec bi-flanges - they do boost the bass and the treble slightly and give the most amount of sparkle of all the tips I tried but also pull back the mids and make the Deltas more V-shaped, which some people might like coz make sthe Deltas sound more spacious.. The stock tips are a bit weird - they are definitely not the best sounding tips with the Deltas - they make the soundstage narrower and overall with them the Deltas sound more mid-centric and intimate. I tried a whole bunch of tips but for now I settled on some single flanges that I'm not really sure with which iem did they come. As far as the sq goes, I've already formed an opinion but it's the middle of the night and most of the time I get way too carried away with my "short" impressions, so I'll be sharing them tomorrow.

I don't think tips can save the Delta's SQ. I think a trip back to the research lab and a start over will do the trick?
