Wow, due to some sort of a Christmas miracle I just received my Deltas after what seems to be the slowest shipping in the history of the world - 63 days. I still don't know what caused that delay as the date of arrival at my customs has been 3 days ago, so either my Deltas got lost somewhere on the way and took few trip around the world or they were misplaced somewhere at the customs and just turned up few days ago for processing.

Anyway, after this ridiculous delay these better be good.

Well, gave it a quick listen with the stock tips and no burn-in, so this is just quick first impressions that might change. Sounds quite good for the money - definitely not on VSD1/S level though. Bass is actually pretty nice. The treble's smooth and isn't prone to pointing out sibilance. Overall the Deltas sound a bit mid-centric and intimate. The VSD1/S is comparison is a touch laid back but has wider soundstage and a lot more sparkle. I'll definitely be tip rolling as right now the vsonics just destroy the Deltas in the timbre department and just sound more natural and also more effortless.

As I said before, this is not a final opinion or anything like bashing on the Deltas - just quick and short first impressions.

Congrats Kova! you got it on a friday.(time to celebrate)....So your mid level impressions will be more interesting after your fueling. :beerchug: waiting to hear it(on saturday most likely).

Definitely didn't expect it on a Friday and it's the 13th LOL . I was actually going to contact mp4nation the other day and ask for a refund because more than 2 months had passed but I got too drunk and forgot.

Anyway, I already have plans for today and tomorrow and I won't be spending much time at home, so I'll probably leave it to burn-in and Sunday or early next week I should have more time to audition it properly with different tips, source, amped and I'll try to be sober. The Deltas are definitely solid performers for the 17 bucks I paid - definitely like them more than the R1.

Happy weekend, btw I had plans to buy them but Raz came up with new facelift of black color w/mic(available by Jan'14), I dropped the idea and went for some other purchases. And I will wait for your just detailed sound impressions on monday...as the cable build,3.5mm 45deg jack share the same BQ as S1 and R3,almost.

Wow ok, lets hope the delivery debacle will be sorted by then.

Congrats to kova4a for getting his pair finally, I still didint accept mine because of the stupid £8 customs charge. Royal Mail should have send them back soon if they havent already.

Doubt I'll be buying anything from MP4Nation for a while, unless it includes Fedex shipping.

The customs in any country is the pain in the a**e......btw, there's a x-mas special twin pack of Deltas with 2 day FedEX and you would receive it max 2-3 days,if that interests you.

edit> Brainwavz M5 Black + Free Brainwavz Delta + Fedex 2 Day - $44.50. but there's a catch,to avail this offer you need to order FiiO AMPs from the drop-down.......So.........upto you. btw, M5 is an another excellent IEM from Bwavz, you will be rewarded.

Nah, have no need for 2 of them. Not even sure if I will like the signature, few say the bass is wobbly and uncontrolled.

Oh, and I already had the M5s. ;)

Well, I didn't have time to properly audition the Deltas but did some tip rolling and actually the first tips I put on, the clear meelec M6's bi-flanges turned out to be the only tips that brought back the sparkle, which is pretty reduced with other tips including the stock ones. And as these tips are exactly the same as the R1's bi-flanges I think Raz should consider including them in the Deltas' package - I doubt it will cost him much to include one more pair of silicone tips or raise the price with 1-2 bucks. I'll probably will be doing more tip rolling but I'll try to write more in-depth impressions of the Deltas in the coming days.

Also I didn't pay attention before but I got lucky I didn't end up in Lifted's situation - having to pay customs taxes close to what I paid for the Deltas because the price marked on the package was $25. One would think that with mp4nation being in the business for so long they would know how customs charges work in EU and how to label their packages, so less people have issues. I'm not saying they should be like lendmeurears and put on prices like $1 or less but $15 is a price that can save a lot of people the additional money they might have to spend on VAT and other customs fees. Let alone placing a $25 price tag on a product that actually costs less.

Honestly, once mp4nation receives the returned by Lifted Andreas package with the Deltas Raz should send him a pair to UK with FedEx at their expense because they were the ones who wasted his time and got him in this situation - if they labeled the package with the actual price he paid (or the $15 I suggested they should use from now on) he would have received his package more than a month ago instead of leaving him hanging like now and making him reconsider any future purchases from mp4nation because of that. Oh, and if Raz makes the right decision and does that, he shouldn't forget not to put a $25 price on the package again.

Sounds not good on Raz part of declaring customs value especially for EU destinations. Hope Raz will hear voice of customers and do the needful in future........

We can't send parcels without a value, the parcels would not be accepted. Imports into a country need a declared value. With the issue of customs and duty, there is no guarantee a parcel of x value will or will not be charged, if a customs officer see the parcel, checks the contents and finds a product that can be charged duty then duty will be charged. Also just because a parcel has x value does not mean the customs officer will buy it, they almost always have the free reign to charge whatever they believe the value is, many times they just check the internet and charge based on the pricing they find there. If the duty is too high then its up to the receiver to contest the charge, as there is nothing we can do from our side with registered airmail. In some places getting charged duty is like a a game of Russian roulette.

You can say that again, thats what its like in the UK. I wasn't getting charged for like 7 years then boom out of nowhere got charged on importing some used FXT-90s and now the Deltas. There is absolutely no way I'm paying £8 customs charge on IEMs that should have only cost me £11... thats a whole £19!!! Now you tell me if that is extortionate or not?

I can buy them from Amazon UK for £13, which is probably what I should have done and ignored any special offers on MP4Nation. I encourage all in the UK and EU to try and get them from Amazon UK, bypass importing at any cost! It simply isnt worth the hassle.

PS. Raz, my Delta's should have been sent back to you now as I refused to accept the ridiculous charge from Royal Mail after waiting for them in transit for nearly a month. Once it gets to that length of time its beyond being worth it or being a bargain in my opinion.
