It's not a bad app, does what it says on the tin really, gives usb audio and I've not had any problems with it so far.

Agree, one can say its a minimalist app but it does what it's intended to do, good enough for many including me.

Can now confirm firsthand PHA-2 works with Note 2 via USB Audio Player Pro.

Now that's strange it does not work by itself with stock Samsung note 2 firmware. I'm curious if you tried without that app? If this is really the case with the PHA2 then maybe it does not work with generic built in OS drivers probably because of the iOS support? Eugh...

I tried the the UAPP and Neutron, and sound from Neurton came out from the phone's speaker. Since I only have a Micro to Mini USB OTG cable so I am using the Sony "High Res Walkman" connecting port instead of the Micro USB port, if that makes any difference. Mine is stock LTE Note 2 with Andriod 4.3.

try a normal USB cable with the micro in the note 2 and the regular full size usb end in the PHA2 and see if it works (it appears that it might)

Someone left an "Amazon verified purchase" review on the Amazon sony PHA-2 page (not the random Japanese sellers) and Amazon still say's "Usually ships in 3-5 weeks" I would order the PHA-2 now if I knew it would ship right away as I need it before I go on vacation for a few weeks soon. I know Amazon recently put that PHA-2 result up so I don't know if I should just order it and hope the "3-5 weeks" is bogus or what :/

All I got for a 'portable DAC/amp is a Nuforce uDAC-2 and I hate nuforce and I hate this DAC... So I'd love to have the PHA-2 before I go.

If I was you I would order from pricejapan. I used them and it was with me in 5 days. Only had to pay £24 in taxes as they marked value down.

Today it changed "only two left in stock (More on the way)" I'll order it later tonight :) I can't wait to have good audio quality from my phone again and a much better away from home DAC then this crappy nuforce.

really enjoying my F887/PHA combo at the moment... I must admit listening to 'live' recordings via line-out an extra level of air(?) seems apparent, it's the subtleties that make a difference.

In my case I found that using the line out of the F886 causes a lot of hiss on my xba h3, hence went back to digital.

My PHA-2 comes tomorrow. I'm still hoping it will work with my Nexus 5 on CM11 without the USB audio recorder pro app. I have to keep all my files on my Nexus 5 at 16-bit 44.1Khz because of the 32GB storage capacity but on my Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 that's not the case. Would android pass high-resolution audio to the PHA-2 through USB? I know its got that 16-bit limitation on android but wouldn't digital audio through the USB bypass that annoyance?

weird... I get no hiss using it, think the output of my N5's is about 15ohms, would this have something to do with it?... have you tried the stock headphones with the combo?

Honestly speaking, even in my xperia ultra with a carbon room (based con cm11) the PHA-2 simply doesn't work... but I wish you good luck on it :D
