Guys, thanks for the invite! I wish I could make it - I will be traveling that weekend ... of course I just sold a bunch of gear so wouldn't have much interesting to show, but it sounds like it will be a blast!

Will definitely make the next one!

I had to even up the poll.

Out of curiosity, what's the difference between the three versions of K240?

Good question. They are essentially the three main revisions of the K240.

The K240 sextett was the first edition and was introduced in the mid 1970s. It gets its nickname "sextett" from the six passive radiators in each cup. They are 600ohm and have a warmer, laid back sound that's very unique.

The K240 Monitor was its successor and was released in the early 80s. It lacked the passive radiators and instead had six circular vents covered with filter paper. They had different 600ohm drivers that were a bit more neutral and extended higher in the treble.

The K240 Studio is the current model released in the early 2000s. They changed the driver to a 55ohm model which has a much wider frequency response than the previous models. Besides that, they were almost identical to the Monitor.

There were at least a couple different "one-off" models along the way but these were by far the most prevalent.
