No, I'm not. I suspected this was the reason why, but I thought that maybe it was okay to use something else because the microphones are internal to the unit. Then again, the included earphones use a 4-pin TRRS connector, which I thought was strange, considering there's no mic/remote control. It's probably used for feedback control. I'll try it with the included earphones and see if it works. I'm just curious to see how well it works.

That 4-pin connector is the thing. Can't get it to work with 2 or 3-pin jacks.

there is a microphone inside each shell of the noise cancelling IEMs. as each must replicate an opposite signal of what is going into each ear. the mic inside the dap plays not part in the noise cancelling activity.

about the sensitivity setting for those mics in the noise cancelling tab, be aware that more sensitivity doesn't mean more noise cancellation at all. it's a setting to avoid picking a saturated and distorted sound that wouldn't work for cancelling the real one, like a traditional recording gear when using a mic.

as usuall with active noise cancelling, it works wonders with low freqs and less with high freqs, so the roar of a Porsche tends to sound like a moped ^_^.

I have this function on my A845 too. I had a 2.5 hours flight three days ago. The effect works fone in general, but it is not like in the Bose demo setups. You are still pretty much aware that you are on a plane.

Hopefully, they'll be reasonable to import.

They're too expensive on ebay and I couldn't find them on any worldwide shipping websites, ughh! It's the cheapest at rakunen but apprently that website is dangerous. If anyone can find them cheap on somewhere safe, please share with us ;)

I never had any issues with Rakuten.

That's old news, besides it has a lot to do with what shop within Rakuten you are dealing with.

Got mine couple weeks ago,and found the battery is not better than Z1000,and still drain even if you lay the aside and not touch it.

For the sound side, feel a little improve.

The most thing I like it is it's smaller than z1000, easy to put in  my pocket.

Hey, Eirwyn, can you tell about the difference of S765 against F886 in terms of sound quality, please? S760 was my favourite Walkman (even better than Z1060)...:) Thank you!

Hey! Well, first of all, I don't even liked S765 after my A826, but I used it because 4GB was not enough for me. If you love it so much, I think F886 is gonna blow your mind :D Ok let's not exaggerate, but it will though, especially if you have high quality music. Not sure it differs much with 128kbps songs, but the higher your song's quality the more you're feeling the difference. It's highs are clearer and has more treble. Bass is a lot less muddy. Equalizer is more usable, doesn't ruin other sounds when you raise or decrease a bar, same goes with effects, I really liked studio effect. I miss absolutely nothing about my S765 tbf, but I'd really want F886 to be non-android though.

older walkman with the exception of f806 have no capability to play any lossless format,,that alone is a big step up

Z1060/70 also does lossless.
