I ended up buying the C5 after reading comparative reviews against the e12. I hope the C5 pairs as well as the E12 does!

I hope I made the right choice :(

Hello,

Is the "tac" sound every two second is solved on new units please ?
I'm a little bit scared to be annoyed by that noise with EM3pro CIEMs ?

Thx a lot

The combination sounds very good. With the Clear Bass boost, you can make the bass shine and rattle. And if you want more, you can amp it wth the likes of the Fiio E12. My Stepdance has even more control over the subbass.

THE Sony NWZ-F886

Without necessarily going into details I would first recall some basics on the recordings.
Through many years of study, learning, and experience the sound engineer is doing its job, in this case for what interests us the "studio master"

Mastering key 3 dimensions : The dynamics, frequency balance, and stereo. By balancing these three paramaters is obtained "the master"

Sometimes the stereo is a bit too thin, sometimes it is too large, There is a "sweet spot".

The sound of the Sony NWZ-F886 is simply equipped of a stereo expander, I heard it immediately, the "sweet spot" of the mix is completely destroyed.
Being established on fixed parameters, and especially so as not to disorient buyers of ultra spatialized sound system (5.1), stereo expander drowns the listener in a stereo deformation stretched to the extreme.

THX for reading

do you mean that they use such an expander even with all sound enhacement deactovated? I mean there is Clearaudio+ that is a preset that seems to even include some surround feature. I never use that. And in the manual sound settings you can turn Clear Phase and Clear Stereo on or off, it's up to you. When nothing is activated here, is thete still a manipulation running in the back?

I'v trying all settings, this night, sound enhancements are useless.

I was not able to desactivate this expander... after a lot of settings i was lost.

So i've immediatly played an old diso song that i precisely know how it sounds on refence monitors, and where it punch on the very low mids (mastering desired effect).
Nothing, no punch.

VERY VERY BORING SOUND.
