Walkman NWZ F886 officialy announced!! [192khz/24bits] - Page 78

Hey guys,

I have an extra leather flip case for sale, in case anyone is interested.

I found the CKS-NWF880 case at much more reasonable price at Rakuten: http://global.rakuten.com/en/store/pure-m/item/4905524932744/?s-id=borderless_browsehist_en

However, I've heard horror stories about Rakuten and credit card theft, so I'm a little wary. Have you guys bought anything recently through them?

Well, it's better than the 50 bucks they ask for at eBay, and it's an official case from Sony - I wouldn't expect it to be cheap to begin with. I already got a silicone case for like $7, but this one looks A LOT cooler.

I see, and it is quite nice. Try to check out the one I have in my classified, however, when you have a chance. It has the same blueprint, it seems, to the Sony one wink.gif

I have one on my F887, and am selling the spare one. They sell from igagdtez for $13-14.

Just got me a NWZ-F886 from a retail store. So far quite nice. But tonight it woke me up with a beep two times. The i brought it to a different room. Any guess why it beeped and how to disable that. Btw all wireless stuff is disabled.

It was probably an app notification. Go to volume settings and lower the "notification" volume all the way down.

By the way, interested in a nice case for your F886?

Interesting offer, but you don't want to ship to Germany, do you? And the same case can be had from Amazon here for 12.99€ including shipment. But I opted for a simple silicon case anyways already.

has anybody from the uk or eu imported one for japan? if so how easy is it to set up and select English language?

are there any compromises with a uk google play account and being able to download apps?

thanks

I got the EU version of the F886. If 32 Gb is enough for you and your main concern is the EU cap, don't worry, the cap isjust a message from the device every 20 hours and can be ingnored easily. I would go for the UK version then.

Hi there, thanks for the advice

I had a UK f886 before and never had this message, is it something which is changed in settings or start up to prompt this?
Maybe you just oversaw it. It is a text like "check your volume" when you reach 75 % of the volume scale.

Yea, it would be better for you to buy it straight from igadgetz if you are not in the US to buy mine. They sell for $13-$14, shipped, and I'm selling mine for $10, shipped... but that's only in the US...

It really is a wonderful case, i have one on my F887 but have an extra one for sale...

night and day might not be that far off.

for me:

X3                                                                                        F866

instruments pushed in front of me                                           instruments pushed on the sides (far on the sides)

very warm                                                                             neutral, maybe even a tiny tad cold, dunno really

zero hiss or noise of any kind with any IEM                             very small hiss on sensitive IEMs and a little "tac" noise only on

very sensitive IEMs and quiet music passages

lot of power                                                                      might want to consider an amp for anything not

"made for ipod" kind of headphones.

minimalistic yet not perfect UI                                                cool and cleverly done sony+android UI

(I prefer 100% sony yet android is customizable so all is good)

F886's line out is really great imo.

edit: I realize the screen size will mess up my uber clever presentation. sorry about that. patched with grey for F886/7 because I'm lazy

Exactly what I wanted to hear. From your write-up it seems i'll like the f886 far better(I wasn't a fan of the X3 when I had it, didn't like the warmth, the UI and the 2d sound). Do you prefer the F886 over the X3?
