Unless they sound decidedly bad, that is, in which case they'll be going back. ;)

I am very busy with university, otherwise I would be trying to get the H1/H2/H3 by hook or by crook...

Very much looking forward to your impressions!

Looks like I'll get my H1 on the 28th by FedEx from NYC. Seems forever being use to Amazon's free 2nd day air shipping with Prime Membership. (Seller is 3rd party)

I agree, most Sony IEMS & headphones sound different. Whether this sound better than EX1000 is tough to say unless one has/had the EX1000 and didnt like it. Also EX1000 retailed $100 more than this flagship.

Looking forward for reviews on these since i own an XBA-30. Been enjoying the 30's for their great clarity and immersive sound. Even if the form factor for the H is not that pleasant due to my small ears, i would still want to try them out.

Yea if these end up not being much better than my current xba3 I will sell them and just get the xba40 as it has that extra bass+mic which I love.

my xba3 has much more clarity to me than the re400 which I thought were great but only had a bit better detail as a positive compared to the xba3, on all other accounts I prefer the xba3 (clarity, bass, soundstage)

It's pretty amazing that the EX1000 (and MDR7550) still go for so much even after Sony has brought in so many other 'superior' models.

They are totally different, and targeted at different users.

I actually had the chance to try out all three of the new iem, H1, H2 and H3.

My first impression, although i'm not really a expert when compared to many members here.

Of the 3 I really like the H1, the size is acceptable, sound quality is really good, whiles the H2 and H3 the size is big, and won't stay in my ears, although the H3 has the ear loop, it's very soft and does not stay in place, the loop is nothing like the ex series, with the H3, even with the cable bent in place, the iem does not stay in  place.

As for the sound, the H2 and H3 are very similar, the sound are very wide and balanced, unlike the ex series (ex600. ex800/7550 and ex 1000), the vocal are the focus point.

if you are more concern about the vocal, stick with the ex series, if you want extra bass consider the XBA series.

Thanks for the impressions.

I actually like the sound of the H1, it's more natural, whiles the H3 is more clouded or muffed up, I won't say the music I listen to is the best recording available, but listening to the same music using the ex600/ex800st and the XBA and the H1.

ex series, the vocal stands out, as you are sitting at the front row of a concert.

xba 3 has more seperation, also have the XBA 4 but haven't used it yet, bought it about a week ago.

H3 every thing is well balanced , but the sound is much wider.

I actually think the H1 sounds better than the H3, sound is not as wide, but for the price different i won't consider the H3, the differences is only a margin, also the connectors on the H2 and H3 iem is very easy to come off, and will get loose over a period of time.

if you are comparing them with the XBA, it's has a rather weak bass, but enough to keep the music natural.
