I'm going to step into the top tier realm, my first at au$500 price range. Should I wait for reviews on the XBA H3 or should I just order the UM 3DD?

I've been hearing a lot of bad things about UM orders taking really long time. They supposedly sound really really good though. If you can wait few month...

I am so curious about them! Many are saying they sound like $200+ iems, I really excited to see if they beat out my XBA3's, if they do then wow!

I cant wait to hear impressions on the H3 though, if they offer punchy bass as well as detail and clarity I might sell everything and go for them.

Im still kinda undecided on the cans though, I assumed cans give you better soundstage and bass but if the h3 has that already I see no point in the Sony cans.

Given how much I have been enjoying the EX1000, I can't wait to try the new Sony's. It should be a slam dunk.

I've heard that too... But those issues were mainly CIEMS. I'm interested in the universal version to save, $100. Their site says shipment is faster with the universals.

I personally think they do sound like iems above it's price range. Very well balanced sound. It's like a little warmer HF5.

Do know that some prefer iems over cans. I personally think iem can image and portray bass like full sized. People don't know what some iems are capable of. aka UERM has super imaging ability:)

Well, check out the 3DD thread. People were having issues with Universal 3DD too.

Well I'll just have to wait for reviews on the H3 then. Probably it's for the best. Thanks for the tip.

No problem. I simply can't wait that long for an iem. Even my CIEM took 2 weeks.

Thanks, in the end I might end up staying IEMs as I always have, I mainly am comsidering the bluetooth ones because they are wireless, convenient.

So in the end something like this:

Is not better or worse than iem's? It just comes down to preference? I always assumed cans have better bass and soundstage.

If thats the case I might as well stick to IEM's as they have served me well.

Never for the life of me have I been able to get a good fit with the XBA series. It's kinda frustrating for me even after going through different eartips, but it always hurt after a while.

These seem kinda overpriced though, considering they probably just tweaked the 16mm driver from the XB90 and took then took two of their BA's from the XBA series it. These will probably drop a lot in price if the XBA series is anything to go by. I am quite interested in the H3 but not at this asking price. I will buy the H1 as soon as its available though, which looks like pretty soon :)

XB90EX driver isn't the same as this one. this thing uses LCD diaphragm, while XB90EX just a big 16mm driver :) if anything, this thing will use tweaked driver from ex1000/7550 or ex600...
