I third that. That walkman A10 is easily the nicest looking hi-res player, and I'm waiting to see what Apple does in the audio department with the iPhone 6 and upcoming iPods. I'm mostly on a two-year schedule with my tech.

There's a rumour swirling arround the net, that the iTunes store will start selling hi-res audio ALAC files, let's see if its true or not

Prefect timing since they just took over hi-res headphone company Dre Beats

Yup. Apple can open the floodgates with this hi-res stuff. Supposedly, they'll also update their headphones, but I have the H3 already lol.

+1

The two companies that specialize in ripping it's loyal customers off are joining forces.

It's ridiculous watching these guys add acouple features, or a different shade of lipstick on the same pig every six month and sell it ffor another 200-800 dollars. I work to hard for my money to be a slave to either of these companies. People need to get smart and invest their money in products that stand the test of time and offer better price to performance ratio. I laugh when I see someone with a iPhone and a pair of beats acting like they have the best thingmoney can buy. Makes me laugh.

I am using an android phone and have a Nokia Win8 phone so am no lover of iPhone but isn't Sony just as guilty of releasing "new" products every 6 months? I think in the end it really is up to each person to decide what is right for them.

sorry  @Soundsgoodtome haha i tought you were serious about beats being hi-res... now i understand you meand "Hi-res" dr. beats company

Apple's new ad for Dr. dre i bet will be some thing like this

Hear music as the artist had intended, hear every note, every beat, wuth crystal clear sound, haha they will add "new" transducer technolgy... Moon dust covered dynamic drivers with zirconium BA's  starting at $999.99

And I'm willing to bet people would still buy it for $999

Yes Sony is somewhat guilty but at least they've for a better sense of audio than bleeding bass with recessed mids and non existent highs. They did try to ride the hype train and bass wave with their XB on and over ear headphones though. ..

I dont think anything apple or Beats puts out can match something like the H3. H1 maybe..
