Don't get me wrong H3 was nice though preferences are deciding the better earphone here, not the earphones SQ themselves.

i don't think h3 will be balanced enough for my preference.

anything which is not balanced is basically bad for rock,,,,it may be good for pop and rap but it will have shortcomings when u listen to rock or classical.

so many will like h3,,,hell many love coppers pro, even joker has given them a good rating but imho they are pure garbage........they have nothing but bass.

i will never buy a sony as they are rarely balanced, majority have elevated bass response that i absolutely hate,,,but yeah i have never heard the ex 1000 or ex7550.

For me it was a tonality decision, anyone that's watched me for a while knows I prefer rather bright analytical signatures, high levels of clarity with a serving of upper mids push. It so happens DN-1000 leans closer towards the brighter side of life. :) I quite enjoyed H3 though, more so mesmerised at the build quality (they were prwetty). I had read posts at one stage claiming DN-1000 wasn't even comparable to H3, that H3 just backs up and dumps last nights curry all over it. That is not true. :)

Unfortunately our MTPC cannot reach the levels of either mentioned.

damn man,,,why don't u save up,sell or steal(lol) to get ie800??

i am seriously thinking of getting these next year,,,at least when i get the best(supposedly)i will not waste time looking for good earphones.

on mtpc the only thing that is preventing me from selling these are lifetime warranty and the huge collection of tips i got with them, the only problem being monsters no longer make mtpc so if mine develops fault then i will get victory model(their best now) as replacement.

anyone tried turbine pro miles davis tribute??

I have my little gem hybrid, Rhapsodio RDB Mini, the only child. (no-one else appears to have one). I use it as a reference point for these IEM like H3, DN-2000, UM 3X, etc.... If one beats it I'll consider upgrading. ;)

Probably close I'll find to my correct signature.

majority who have listened to ie800 say its the best universal out there

That's still not going to best an HD600 or HE-500.

The wonderful refinement and lack of grain in the Tenore grants beautiful black space.

And mind that the Tenore is not even my preferred signature. The KC06 takes that role.

Any chance you wanna send me this specific Tenore for a few days?

I just want to see if my pair is comparatively that bad in those aspects, because those are some of the exact areas where I feel the Tenore falls short of other great IEMs. I'm actually surprised you haven't mentioned soundstage height either like you usually do haha, because I find the Tenore a bit shy there too.

Can anyone comment on the ergonomics of the H3? Some say it is too large?

But I do prefer behind the ear cabling versus the straight down cables of the DNs and Tenores.

They are large and stick out sideways ... lets just say I will not be walking on the street with these. That's what my IM70s are for.
But for me they're totally comfortable and after a song or 2 they seem to just disappear. I can wear these all day without a problem. I also like iems with hangers much more.

Maybe in the first couple of days I kept fiddling with them to find the right tip and position .. but after that it's very natural I think.

Thanks for that!

I see you have quite the array of iems. Out of all of them, do you prefer the H3 the most? Have you used the TF10s before?

At the moment the H3 is my favorite. I think it does everything quite well for music and movies.

No I haven't heard the TF10s but if the UE900 are supposed to be better, I am finding them to be a bit thinner, flatter and even less clear then the H3.

I've had the UE900 for a while and I thought they were my last pair of iem ... but when you A-B them to my other iems, they're on the boring side. The IM70 and H3 are much more toe tapping and fun.

The H3 has more of everything and a fuller sound. It's not like ATH-IM70 full powerful mids .. but I can hear a lot more of the spectrum with the H3.

I know we've heard a few IEMs similarly before. Do this for me...use foam tips on the Tenore if you can. Preferably foamies that don't block the nozzle. I think fit and the amount of pressure they put on the eardrum has everything to varying impressions. The foam eliminates the canal pressure and allows the driver to breathe more.

I think that's a misconception. The foam may eliminate pressure and driver flex during insertion, but seals just like any other tip once it's fully expanded.
