Thanks for sharing what you heard but I hear something different.

I know we've heard a few IEMs similarly before. Do this for me...use foam tips on the Tenore if you can. Preferably foamies that don't block the nozzle. I think fit and the amount of pressure they put on the eardrum has everything to varying impressions. The foam eliminates the canal pressure and allows the driver to breathe more.

I'm loving my H3 after a month with them. Everything is very enjoyable especially for voices like Daniela Andrade on youtube .. wow it just sound amazing. Just out of curiously .. has anyone compared the H3 to something like the Sennheiser IE800 ? Would the H3 hold up to something that's 3 times the price?

I do like a full thick sound especially for female vocals like what the ATH-im70 has ... the H3 still stands out nicely and overall I think it's better as a whole. But you know with these audio things ... always wondering if it can get any better.

h3 will be hard pressed to beat the likes of dunu dn-1000 and 2000 and just on the previous page people have claimed that even final audio earphones are better than h3 in mids and treble,,,even soundstage.

on the other hand majority of the reviews of ie800 state that ie800 beat even full sized cans like hd600 hands down and are possibly the best universals money can buy.

I think signature preference definitely comes into play. I personaly find my Victory to be as competent or close to as competent as the H3 and because I prefer its more balanced signature I enjoy it more for most songs I listen to. But when a song suites the H3 it is an amazing sound.

If I was to make a comparison I would say the H3 is very similar to the HD650 in signature. Which is great so long as you enjoy that signature. But what if you prefer a brighter less dark signature? I suspect my Victory or for an even better price the Tenore will serve you better.Tenore

BTW I feel nicely a need to state something. Multi speaker configurations do not mean better quality sound. There are single speaker configurations out there than manage to keep up quite nicely otherwise companies like Sennheiser wouldn't be avoiding the whole multi speaker craze.

In case anyone is wondering I am still on the fence about my H3 price regardless of good price. But I have noticed a change in sound every morning after burning in over night. The bass has become less bombastic and consequently I am enjoying them more as I go along.

Eke, how do you find the Tenore for black space and contrast? The one area I have noticed the Victory to fall short of the H3 is black space and contrast.

IE800, naw. I haven't heard any IEM that can best an HD600 or HE-500.

I find it far superior in that respect. Anyone who knows me knows I'm not a FR lover. As much as they say the Tenore is so neutral, I hear it as being thicker and fuller than the FX850 and H3, while being even more detailed in the treble and mids.

The wonderful refinement and lack of grain in the Tenore grants beautiful black space.

And mind that the Tenore is not even my preferred signature. The KC06 takes that role.

I have the DN1000 and the h3 is a more enjoyable sound IMHO.

See, this is where it comes down to preference as I had H3 for a week and found I liked the Dunu more. :)

Don't get me wrong H3 was nice though preferences are deciding the better earphone here, not the earphones SQ themselves.

I've pulled the trigger on a IE800 ... I've had my share of full size headphones and went through that phase but I just can't have any of them on for more than 2 hours. IEMs just suit me better as I have mine on for 8 hours a day while I work. I like how iems just sort of disappear and you don't notice having them on anymore. I enjoy all my iems ... ath-im70, heavens, H3 .. for different things for different moods I'm in ...  it's all personal preference but I like all these for their nice vocals. Will see if  the ie800 is even better.

BTW, I do notice after a month of having the H3, the bass has subsided quite a bit ... even the heaven IV sound more hard hitting at the moment.
