New Pro?

+ 1 ??

Any news on replacement pads, hopefully bigger size (wider entry) for these?

I already have tried HP50 (too shallow, too narrow entry) and these are even narrower.

Would be nice to have fully circumaural headphones, without the pads pressing on earlobes.

I wonder if Focal plan to release an over-ear design since this on-ear design is pinching my ear lobes, lol

BTW, I love what Focal has done with the Spirit line. Top notch work all around. Best new brand.

Ugh what a shame. The frequency response and sound signature looks perfect compared to the NADs. Too bad that these phones were apparently never meant to be worn :(

No headphones - especially closed headphones - are going to fit every head & set of ears ideally.

I find the Focal Spirit Pro very comfortable, and that's comparing it to dozens and dozens I've tried.

(Maybe close to a hundred by now.)

Focal Spirit Pro vs Sennheiser HD800, which one is more ''analytical'' ?

HD800 is more analytical.  Highs are more detailed and extended and the HD 800 is more revealing of nuances in the music.  That being said I prefer the sound signature of the Focals with most reasonably priced gear.  Only time I would prefer the Senn is with specific higher end amplification.

how would these compare to the hd650s?

The FSP have a more forward midrange and lower treble and at times can be a tiny bit hot if you are sensitive to its treble spike.  Bass on the FSP also seems more prominent at the extreme low end.  The FSP seems more dynamic and punchy because of the more forward mids.  The 650s have a much more open soundstage and a more rich and textural midrange that gives the illusion of depth very well.  650s need the right amp to make them shine and are more comfortable and perhaps better made.
