Based on what I've been reading, the Duet is an Amp and not a DAC combo. Is this not correct?

Of course yes. You should use it with a cypher labs dac.

Hello midnightwalker, I'm close to getting even without demoing, and taking into account RF issues. The footprint, preceived sound improvement on HP-P1 suits me. No hiss with SM64's is great, how's the headroom on low gain. Any play with volume control before too loud, or very small margin? Thanks.

I'm thinking about purchasing a Theorem 720.  This is likely a complete novice question, but is there any reason I can't stream a Squeezebox Touch into the 720?

The Theorem is only a USB DAC, so you'd need your Touch modded to send audio over the USB

Thanks. Doh!  Don't I feel stupid.  Looks like I have to search for a desktop amp/DAC combo that takes a coax input.

Try the iQube v3 which has digital input.

I really get confused !

On one hand I read here that the NOTE 3 can stream 24/192 music WITHOUT Downsampling to a USB DAC like the Cyberlab 720 (using the Google play or Samsung Play software.) ... which is a VERY good news, but ...on the other hand I see here many people using USB AUDIO PLAYER PRO on the Note 3 to play High-Res files !!

So why do they use USB AUDIO PLAYER PRO is the Note 3 is supposed to natively play 24/192 ?  Will a "Note 3 + Samsung or google play + 720" play 24/192 ???

please help

Will the Theorem 720 fully work (charging and data streaming) with the iDevices through lightning - micro usb adapter using the micro -> mini-usb cable?

Has anyone tried that?

My stock lightning - mini usb cable broke and I cannot find similar one in Japan :( .

Thank you. You tried it with unofficial adapter? Do you have any recommendation for the replacement? I need something compact and short to use it while walking. That's why I want to use the micro usb adapter instead of the 30pin adapter.
