DT880 premium 250 ohm VS T70 with Cardas re-termination

I'm stuck making a decision between a brand new DT880 premium 250 ohm (new in box) and an "excellent condition" used T70 with the cable re-terminated with cardas 1/4 inch plug.

The price gap only is about $80, with the T70 being more expensive.

I was just wondering about opinions on these headphones. I love the soundstage and excitement of my DT990s, but I find the 990 to be just ever so slightly too bright (I don't get the glass-on-ears feeling that some 990 haters get) I've also listened to the T1 and it was absolutely amazing, not only the sound quality but the sound signature and soundstage were goosebump-inducing. If the T70 or DT880 are anything similar, I want to have them.

Things I find important, in order from most important to least important:

Sound signature

Detail/Imaging

Soundstage

Comfort

Durability

Looks

I use a pair of IEMs for portable use, so I can deal with closed or open. Soundstage is still important, though.

What are you using to drive your headphones?

What is the price on the DT880 and T70?

As you already have open (full bass & full treble) headphones with a nice sound stage, I would would say to get the (closed) T70s (nice clarity).

Price on the T70 is $280, price on the 880 is $200. I'm using a fiio E09K desktop amp with a musiland monitor 03 US DAC.

With the DT880, your just getting a more tamed DT990.
