Guys i am loving the momentum so far.... Although i think they are a bit confining.... For example i love the overall presentation of Sound on the aurvana lives.... Wich headphone would be able to give the same soundstage experience a imaging on the go? Would the MDR 1rs be better? Any other suggestions?

Perhaps you should wait for the upcoming Creative Aurvana Live! 2. I'm a big fan of the CAL! and I too found the Momentum's soundstage a bit on the small side.

MDR -1R have better soundstage instrumental separation and imaging than Momentum but still nothing compares to PSB M4U1 and AKG K550 in closed headphones to my ears xD

There's also the new AKG K545 coming out soon - a smaller more portable K500/501 - hopefully they havn't killed the soundstage with the smaller size cups.

It's AKG K550 and K551 that they are replacing with the K545 and yes, I hope the smaller earcups does not cost the soudstage and imaging of K550 because that's where most of the value come from in my opinion

I really like the k550 in termos of looks, the problem is, they are a bit big for portable no? Also i read ha the k551 is not as good as the k550. The mdr 1r seems to have the jack rattle problem, but otherwise they seem amazing. A friend of mine told me that these 2 although being amazing they are not on par in terms of resolution and sound quality with the momentums... True?

The new aurvana 2, if they keep the original aurvana drive untouched i am sold., :-)

Hum... then i am keeping my momentums for now... I have about only 30 hours of burn in on them... maybe they will get better after 100...

If i get tired i'll just sell them or trade... but for now they stay...

But i am really looking forward for the new aurvana live!2.... i dont know if soundwise they will match the momentums, but if they are able to retain the sound quality and soundstage of the original and provide proper isolation, confort and strong build.... damn.....

Would the sonys or the akgs be good for edm? I want a all rounder but also listen to lots of edm.

For EDM it's a no brainer - AKG.

The Sony's just don't have the deep digging bass, but more of a tight-thump.

You tried the 3 greq?

I own the Momentum and have extensively auditioned both MDR-1R and K500.

You meant the k550 right? And of the 3 you preferred the momentums?
